I was going to say, where did all those townhouses come from? When I dropped off the mattress for you, it was a field...

thanks, should be the same stuff in your RDX too.
The seats are a bit different. The RDX seems to have less bolster.

Waits for your stories about driving with no front plate at least there's some talent in them Finally. I'm ready to go off roading Looking good! When I was at Acura yesterday, I sat in a TLX while I was waiting for the sales guy to get the demo RDX, I couldn't help but admire just how great the TLX is. Those seats are so comfortable. thanks, should be the same stuff in your RDX too. and yes it is a 4x4, look at this shit and if i decide to keep the car i'm repainting the back bumper. see how off it is?
this thread reminds me of the 10k+ worth of mods on a leased G35 with a custom paintjob and stereo.

Has anyone had any direct interaction with transmission problems in the TLX? My father was about to pull the trigger on one to replace is '04 TL but he is somewhat hesitant now and looking at other options after all the crap I have read. I cannot believe honda could even think about risking another transmission disaster after all the issues from the past with V6 equipped models.

it's all software updates. quite a few of the V6 people are saying that a recent update works out the jerky-ness of the trans. it's not like it's blowing up into a million pieces or anything. some people are having trouble with the 8spd too, so far mine has been fine.
That's good to hear. I was curious to get some real opinions because the internet folk have a way of blowing up small issues. Some of the accurazine threads were 12 pages of people losing their shit...

Downgear I have a 9sp in my TLX and it shifts great. I just had an update performed and it feels even more responsive and smoother now. Theres nothing mechanically wrong with the tranny. Lots of people complain about the shift feel though, but Acura has been very quick to update the software.
Acurazine is full of retards. Half the people posting in the TLX section dont even have one. Disgruntled TL owners who dont like how the TLX drives lmao. I shy away from that forum as much as possible.
There is a specific TLX forum too http://www.tlxforums.com/forum/
Im very happy with my TLX.

yes, as we know with the internet things get a lil bit out of hand (shocker). but as titty said that's the case, software update and 95% of the cars are fine. it's the 9spd (ZF from germany - hator...you and your bmw supplier shit LOL) is the kicker...8spds are pretty much good.
That 9spd ZF tried to kill me and my buddy, or if not kill me, destroy my driving record. He's got a 2014 Cherokee with adaptive cruise control with stop and go. I was driving it and he tells me to not worry, and to trust it, it'll stop. It starts accelerating towards the car in front which is stopped. 70, 75, 80 - in a 60. I finally bail and SLAM the brakes missing the car in front by inches. I pulled over and got out. He drove us home, without cruise. A week later, maybe 10000kms on the vehicle and it does it to him - Jeep is driven directly to the dealer. Turns out the dog clutch was sticking and it was trying to do a rev matched downshift but couldn't get out of gear. It sat there 3 weeks waiting for a transmission.
Note about adaptive cruise, my Infiniti bails at 35kph.

Apparently the 9 in the Jeeps is a licensed version built by Chrysler, while the Honda/Acura unit comes directly from ZF.
Ive driven my sis-in-laws Cherokee and it shifts way differently then mine. Shes had a few issues with hers too.
