Would it be worth it to go to a TTL flash or practice with manual first?

Would it be worth it to go to a TTL flash or practice with manual first? If you just need a flash, get one that does TTL. You can always use it as a manual flash if you want, but that's best if you use it off camera.

So with those, now you're working in full manual and no TTL. And you should double check that they'll work with Sony because Yongnuo usually works with specific systems (i.e. canon, nikon, etc).

Yeah I realize no TTL and I'm pretty sure they will work manually with Sony based on the reviews and things online.

When looking for the original review I read, I've found conflicting info! This should be fun!

UPDATE:
The products that I posted earlier work just fine with my NEX-6. I actually one extra Transmitter/Receiver because the YN560IV has a wireless receiver. I knew this going into it but the extra I can use on another camera or if I have a flash that's not Youngnuo.
The flash works in the hot shoe also but it's not a tight fit. It works but is slightly wobbly.

Haven't noticed a connectivity/shorting concern and the wobble isn't that bad. Overall pretty good!
