I went to throw out some dead batteries in our battery and electronics recycle bin. I look in and ... an Iphone 5.
Tried to turn it on and it didn't work. At first I thought, hmmm... maybe it's broken. But I took it and charged it back up. Aha, this thing is working perfectly fine! It wouldn't hook up to the Cell network. Pop the sim card on the side, ah... Bell.
So I called Bell, they asked for the EIMI on the back of the phone and they contacted the account holder. We did a conference call through Bell. Turns out it's his daughter's phone. She lost it on the bus. She was crying for days at losing her phone. She thought all her photos were lost. I guess she didn't sync to the iCloud. How the hell did it end up in my recycle bin? Whatever.
Met up with the guy at a Timmies. Last thing he said to me was: "Good Karma for you!"
I'm just hoping this is "paying it forward". So If lose my phone someday, it'll be returned to me. I hope!

good on you man. my cousin lost his phone once and met up with the guy, it was this big jamaican guy and he wanted money for returning it so my cousin flipped him $20 lol
Found one a year or two ago while walking the dog. Phone wasn't locked so was easy enough to find the owner...chick barely mumbled a thank you as she took the phone from me and instantly went through it as she was walking down my porch.
