After a few months clean, I fell off the GAS/LBA wagon. Hard.

Picked up a DA* 50-135 f/2.8, DA 21mm f/3.2 Limited, and DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited. I also have a FA 35mm f2.0 on the way. Already own the DA 40mm Limited, it's there for size comparison.

Last pickup was the 16-35 f/4L, but at this point I'm looking at going all native stuff on my 7R, Canon doesn't seem like they're going to give a shit about FF mirrorless anytime soon. The DMF function of the 7R only works with native lenses as does back button focusing, sadly, and those are pretty sweet features. Back button focus when you need AF, or just turn the focus ring to engage the focus mag when you don't. Super efficient. Non-native lenses require a couple button pushes to engage the focus mag, which is fine for still work but makes on the fly stuff somewhat cumbersome. The full time manual focus and focus mag implementation on the XT-1 kept me from switching to it when I bought a basic kit and had a rented 7R to compare. So many of their lenses have the focus clutch switch, which is completely shit IMO. I really thought I'd go Fuji but was surprised I liked the Sony more, no contest.

I'm thinking 25 and 85 Batis, 55 Zeiss, and the 16-35 Zeiss should cover 95% of what I shoot. Might keep my Sigma macro and 70-200 adapted lenses just because I rarely shoot them and I'd have to spend a bunch to replace them and they're both optically and mechanically excellent and AF isn't much of a concern with either.

The last lens I bought was the Sigma 35mm 1.4 in late 2012? There's no point in piling up anymore EF glass until canon makes something worth a shit to mount it on.

I bought the Panasonic lx100 last November and returned it within a month. That $$$ is earmarked for the RX100 mk4 or maybe the a6000 mk2 coming out soon.

A canon S110 I got on sale for $180 is the only camera I have uploaded pics from this year.

The last anything I bought for this hobby was a 50 dollar Spiratone 135mm f2.8 in t-mount. I thought it would be more fun to use but sharpness is not there with it. Reviews said it should be a decent lens for the money. I think I got a bad copy.

It is dissapointing to me that Sony is dropping the A-mount. I am glad that the E mount is doing so great. But I like the ergonimics of my A77ii.

Currently saving for a 70-200 2.8L. Also eyeing up an airport thinktank 2.0. So my recent purchases have been limited to memory cards and prints to sell at upcoming craft fairs...

haven't shot anything w it yet and looked at the images/footage yet. Mainly got it for the 60p@1080, the price, the crop factor and to be consistent w canon. GH4 or a7s would be cool but we're a little more than I wanted to pay

Last thing I bought was a Tokina 17-35 f/4 because I wanted a wide angle FX lens. I have a 24-85, 70-200, 35, 50, 85 and 90 macro...only thing i'd buy at this point would be the 35 f/1.8 FX and sell the 35 f/2.

Just pulled the trigger on the 70-200 2.8IS ii.

When this thing was selling for $2499, I picked up the 85 1.8, 135 2.0, and 200 2.8 L primes instead to cover the focal length for less than the 70-200.

Scored the 70-200 today for $1,799 new from B&H through Canonpricewatch.com. Could not have been a smoother transaction. I was expecting an email from some shady sounding dealer, but nope...CPW emailed me a link and coupoun code to B&H. So the site is legit.
