{Warning: pointless nerd post ahead)

Alignment:
-3 front camber
0 front toe
-2 rear camber
rear toe put to OE settings (maintain inherit rear end bite + allow for hitting the throttle sooner to take advantage of the active diff).

OK so I put the bars, upper control arms and coilovers on the car.
To put it shortly, the car is transformed through and through.  It now turns in with the same immediacy as the Boss 302, but has cornering limits so high that it cannot be explored on the street (the Boss nor M3 had this ability).  The front-end grip is so abundant with the new alignment that I can be as aggressive with the throttle as I like -- beit on corner entry, or mid corner.  The front end doesn't give up, and the car continues on the line I intend for it to carve out.

I even intentionally over-brake for a corner, and mash the throttle to accelerate through the corner completely.  I do this on purpose to put it into an on power push situation.  Despite this, the car remains neutral...and coupled with the active diff, the car can even be throttle steered early in the corner for some rotation :D

I can go down an off-camber sweeper, littered with expansion joints some 40kph faster than I could before--with reserve.  The car simply has more to give.  It is both VERY stable and neutral with the whole setup.  Stability both on and off throttle is retained.  Actually, the car is much more stable and slightly less pointy than when i just had the anti-sway bars at stock height. The car was more entertaining with just sways at stock height. Lots of rotation even on the street, and very immediate turn-in response. On the big track doe, probably a different story.

The nearly 4000lb pig is now is very capable with some nice tires and a proper alignment + increased roll stiffness.  The two things that made the biggest difference were the anti-sway bars and the additional camber.  It's just nuts.

Now to battle Hatorade at mosport XD

Cool. Same camber as my front, I run 2.5 in the rear.

Your car's way nicer looking than mine though \:\)

k dudes, here's a proper lapping day run by some of our race team guys. i'm going for the July 18th day for sure as is 4age and most likely a couple more guys.

PM me for info if you would like to attend and you can also use my name in the referral box. you can pay with paypal now in advance for a pretty good discount.

it's a more private day with limited cars (max 30, maybe only 25), drivers who know what they're doing (ie. not crazy asian lapping days ;\) ) and should have a very nice range of cars running. for those less experienced you can ask a few of these guys to sit with you for instruction or even just tips on improving your lines, as many of them are ex-CASC instructors/competitors.

it's shannonville big track so there will be plenty of room/track time and being on a saturday you have plenty of time to head out there during the day (it's just shy of a two hour drive one way, departing from Kennedy Commons in Scarborough). you can get gas (and food) along the way at the last cdn tire rest-stop or even the final exit before shanny if you want to fill up.

http://speedenvy.ticketleap.com/trackdays/

SATURDAY, JULY 18 2015
5:30 PM — 9:00 PM
SATURDAY, AUGUST 15 2015
5:30 PM — 9:00 PM

there are also plenty of other lapping days as well as posted by other members here if you prefer.

or am i fucking missing something

anti sway bars. fuck me. it's anti roll bars, or sway bars. pick one, but don't have em fucking

Yup. When you transform soemthing that drove like poo into something that drives like magic, it's pretty exciting. You should understand that XD

Sooo what's this track roll call?

i don't. because the current pile of turd i'm driving I have no inclination whatsoever to transform it. the s2k after i went non stagger i wasn't driving near the limit of its capability; and the aerio was just a beater that i gave no fucks about.

i mean if i were to seriously give you an answer, i don't know when exactly i've stopped giving a fuck on what i'm driving for daily commutes, but that's how i'm feeling.

we should have some buddies from toyota there with their rides (including 'because race car' lexus), should be good times. if anyone here wants to finally make it out this would be a good day! even if you don't lap, just join for the cruise out to track and sit for ride alongs, take off whenever.

trying to get out to (and ppl organized) for kplay or touge days (or whatever group) is always a challenge, not to mention some of the driving at said events can be...questionable lol. still fun doe.

k, checked out some upcoming June lapping days from various groups, have some guys that may wanna go. if anyone here is interested too. (i'm leaving out toronto motorsport park days due to current own/group preferences):

touge - june 13, DDT Mosport 12pm-5pm (most likely go to this one, tentative)

touge -june 21, shannonville 5-9pm

kplayground - june 28, shannonville 5-9pm

one shitty thing though, ddt jacked their rates bigtime...so you're looking at $169 advance price, then 189 if a bit later, THEN $240 "day of" just for that day 4hrs...ouch. may just do shanny which is like $90...but a far drive.

Have u been to the new DDT? How is it?
And how is it on tires? \:D

I dont think 169 is bad for a lapping day at a good track. It's just that Shannonville is dirt cheap. Anyway, I will go to June 28kpg.

I will also be at some JRP mosport days.

nope, havent tried new ddt, didn't have time last season. i hear it's nicely paved and 'technical' (only so much there lol) but in an annoying way (the new part).

169 is a lot for just ddt and 4-5 hr day considering it used to be 90-105. it's 189 to 200+ if you sign up just before going which is a lot. for an 8hr day i can understand sure.

yeah we're thinking june 21 or 28 days now, we'll see which.

Too bad no stick. Don't care it's 0.0000000005555422s faster with pdk, just not the same feelz. Test drove a M3 with dct and it was damn impressive but was still an auto at the end of the day. I liked the exhaust fart noises on quick upshifts lol

if they cared enough, they'd just pay extra to have that put in.

if you have enough money.. you'd tell them to make it work. its not that hard.. just expensive and you gotta make it worth their effort.

Oh the audi?
Must be from last year. I only went to shannonville once--and it was when the car was stock. Did 2:06.3 on the full course. showroom stalk alignment and all.

havent gone yet with the new setup. hunting for 2:04 and under

i like the flappy padle trans for a track car. IT makes it easier to go faster. For the street i'll take a true manual, for the track flappy paddle please.
I drove a 430 Scuderia on a track and wow, it was awesome. It lets you focus on braking and accelerating much more, espeically late hard braking.
