Drive in this morning I noticed a few cars with dash cams. Started creeping a little more and I could probably count 20+ cars with dash cams over 10 minutes of driving.

Had mine for almost 2 years id say. As soon as I got my accord I bought one. Plus can't trust scammers.

Don't have one (yet) ... Always wanted one, but hated the idea of a wire dangling down the middle of the dash/windshield...
you can buy a hardwire kit. it's really easy to do, just tap into the fusebox and tuck the wires.
Im gonna keep mine plugged in the ciggy for now until it warms up to 5c and then I'll hardwire it.

Had mine for about a year and a bit.
Got it from blackboxmycar.com
Have the FineVu CR500-HD with a hardware kit that keeps it on in parking mode and turns off at a pre-set duration or when the bat volt reaches a set value.
Hid mine so it's hard to see from the outside.
With all the fuk nuts driving these days I want to be prepared

Ive thought about getting one, but many seem to be these made in China types, so Im questioning the quality. I guess for $25 if it doesnt work well you can just toss it lol.
I know there are the Blackvue ones and I recently saw a Garmin one at Staples.

I have this.
Great quality but...
-3M sticker mount (old model)
-Only viewable when you upload the memory card to a computer or use an afermarket screen device you plug in.
Bought mine a couple of years ago.
Since then they have released many other models with dramatic improvements.

There are new models you can view on your Smartphone if the screen is not built in.
Get a Korean made ones if you want to get a decent model that will last.
Most people in Korea seem to have at least one mounted in their cars. Some cars have rear ones as well.

Did you buy it from eBay or Amazon? What was the price for the G1WC you paid for?
They are WAY more money if you buy it off of amazon or ebay. Go to the dashcamtalk link a few posts up and click on the link from the reputable seller. I bought it from gearbest with rear view mirror mount for 60 bucks cdn shipped. I already have a spare class 10 32gb micro sd card kicking around that I will be using with this dashcam.
