just applied for the Nexus program. it's pretty fucking easy and painless.

now i sit and wait for them to review and approve and i go to the interview.

I can't believe I waited this long!! Wonder if I'll get it in time for my trip to Florida at end of Feb.

who else got one? how long did you have to wait for them to approve?

I was thinking to apply it too but when you travel by car to US, if the rest of the passengers do not have NEXUS card, you have to use the standard line. So the Nexus card is only good if you travel alone a lot

Ya, I rarely travel alone to US anymore, so didn't bother.

That's so far! Do you get to pick location or the government picks for you?

I got one a couple years ago. took me five months to get the interview from Pearson.

interview was a breeze other than the eye scan. I couldn't figure out where to look without my glasses. lol

I flew back from Asia in December, ran to the nexus line and 2 of the 5 machines were down. Itseems like going thru the normal route would have been faster ha ha

the great benefit now is flying to the states. uninternational, there isn't much advantage.

Nexus is great if everyone in the car has Nexus, lol. My old man used to use the CanPass for the lower in Niagara Falls when we lived in St.Catharines.

You pick date and time and location, based on availability.

fuck. this shit IS easy.

I filled out the application on Friday over lunch and today it got approved.

The first available interview is not til Mid Feb, but since I'll be away later on in the month and will have a day off, I scheduled my interview for March 1st. Too bad because I would really like to use it for my trip!

I'm very impressed so far!
