It's been a while.
I was bored @ work and saw DanL is selling one of his GSX and made me remember this forum.
Have I missed anything exciting? do we have a running GTV6? a non-overheating track mustang? anyone arrested in connection with a murder or anything cool?

Hasn't been a ton automovie-wise from me. Still driving the wagon, sold the t5r.
Bought a house, having our first child in December(it's a girl)
blah blah blah.

How's everyone else doing?

Welcome back! A non-overheating mustang is still in process. I've installed a huge oil cooler that helped control oil temps at Buttonwillow in like 110 degree heat, but the water temps are still high. Planning on removing the AC, since it doesn't work anymore, and maybe even free up some power as well by removing the AC compressor and smog pump. Also, the car puts out 360rwhp after a VERY LONG AND PAINFUL engine build.

Nice!
I think I remember that. Didn't the first shop pork you on the build?

Yeah pretty badly. Took three shops to get it right. The final shop, which does all the work on the car at this point is fair with pricing, did a really good job on tuning, and got the good numbers. I'm sorta looking into longtube headers, because BBK shorties are most likely restricting the motor.

That's a good problem to have, I'd say.
I've never had to look into them, but is there a better engineered set based on scavengening and separating the pulses?

oddly-enough.. I learned the most about exhaust from this stupid skyactiv explaination: http://www.mazda.com/technology/skyactiv/engine/skyactiv-g.html

Yeah, basically the length of the primaries, and a much nicer collector is the key here. BBK headers are cheap for a reason, the collector is crap.

Whoa... holy crickets...
Where'd everyone go?
Migrated to FB like all the other forums, or just too old to play with toys?

The leftover parts at the end is what really makes the video worth watching, at least to me anyway.
