Price may depend on car. I have been doing them for the last year and a half. Some things to think about, even the best ones only are covered with warranty for 5 years and if the car is used and has blemishes they will still show through the film. 3M is the best in my opinion HOWEVER there are 2 sub brands under the 3M name. Scotchguard and ventureshield. Scotchguard is about 25% more expensive for raw material. Most places will charge 250+ and that + can go up to say 6-700 for hood and fenders done. Add front bumper for an extra 3-400. So my question is what kind of car? and what kind of coverage do you want? Hood, fenders are most commons. But in reality anything can be done.
How much for a front bumper and grille for a 10 tsx?

This is a topic I am very well versed in and have many different experiences. I tend to get a "little" carried away with detailing and paint protection and have basically tried everything under the sun in terms of polishing, protection, washing and repainting over the years. Given that my car is black, keeping the car looking good is that much more difficult.
I have a few main points that I feel are most important and the rest is just information. 1.Buy a good film – I would not put anything other than Xpel on my car. The self healing is not bullshit and is pretty impressive that the car can heal a scratch. 2.Cover the entire front end so you don’t see any seams. The film really does become absolutely invisible. 3.Have a good installer (I used Richard from Protex – he did amazing work)
Background info for those that are interested:
I have had my car covered and uncovered 3 times so far. 2 of those installed myself and none of which I regret in the slightest as I bought the best I could find at the time. Hopefully this Xpel film will be my last as its warranty is 10 years and you are also looking at $1100+ to wrap the full front end. It is a sizeable investment but I plan to keep this car and the clarity + self healing + not having to worry about swirls, chips and scratches is worth every penny for me.
Ultimately, if you are going to keep your car and really want it to stay perfect, it’s a great investment. If you flip cars every 3-5 years, I would just drive the car and not worry about films.
I just have the one picture from the day I had the film put on but the car is not bad for a black 13 year old vehicle.

It is not rocket surgery and I figured it out pretty well after watching some videos and practicing a bit. It can get tricky though on certain curved parts and it will never look perfect if you are not experienced. It somewhat annoyed me looking at little imperfections but I didn't really care because I bought 3M film online for $100 and shops were charging $600 back then.
This last time I decided to pay because I "NEEDED" Xpel and the raw material costs were almost the same as paying to have it professionally installed. I also could not live with myself if I messed up and lost 900$ worth of material!!

^+juan. i'd replace the clear bra every 2-3 years before re-spraying the bumper. 99% of the time the paint never matches.
thank jeebus now you can buy pre-painted bumpers from honda. i'm picking up side skirts, rear bumper that already come painted, and because i'm ADD about rock chips I might nab a fresh new front bumper and have it wrapped. brand new bumper painted is only $500 from honda, about the same price of getting a re-spray but atleast it'll match.
Are these dealer cost prices for the bumpers? Someone scraped my rear bumper and I would pay for a new one if it came painted but I did not want aftermarket paint.

Not so lucky for the s2000. Looks like they come unpainted. I can however order the tow hook covers with quality oem paint!!
The bumpers in the US are only $250 though.
