So there was a deal on a Kitchen Aid mixer http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1C2-0001-00083 for $219. I ordered and paid with my Canadian paypal account, to ship to my mailbox across the border. Newegg cancelled my order, because they won't service Canadian credit cards or Paypal accounts on their US site. FFFFFUUUUU



I went to Esso, purchased a prepaid visa for $20. Went to the giftcard site and addded the address of my mailbox as my home address Created a new paypal account with address of my mailbox and added the giftcard as my main card. Paypal checks credit card company, addresses match, instant US verified paypal account. Sent myself money from my Canadian account to my US account. Paid Newegg.

Result, mixer is sitting at my mailbox waiting for pickup, allow me to say FFFFFUUUUU to Newegg....

I have my projector mount, my new screen, clothes, BBQ parts and a bunch of other shit sitting there waiting for pickup. 450 W is good considering the one we have now is only 300.

There is a simpler way of doing this, you can add a second billing address to your CC, problem solved.

I have my PO box as my secondary billing address, card is recognized as a US card, haven't had problems.

When are you going?

Doesn't work with Newegg, I have my mailbox as my secondary billing address. As soon as they realize its a card issued by a Canadian bank, they cancel your order.

I'm going anyway to pick up other things, so the travel is a sunk cost. What paypal fees, you don't pay fees if you send money, only if you receive money funded by credit card

I've always wondered if that would work with the fake jersey websites. I ordered some a couple years ago, and they were awesome, and cheap, but they ripped off my visa after it was over and frauded it. \:\(


So, when you buy the prepaid cards, you still go online and register them to your house like its a real visa?

Yup, not even remotely the same. The one in OP's post is not a tilt head and the mixing bowl doesn't need to 'clip' into the base and of course more powAh.

There are many uses for it, comes with multiple attachments. Having said that, we use ours once a month on average.

Walmart doesn't carry the Pro. They all like almost the same but there are differences like tilting head and more powAh of course.
