I meant it for Rumble, but I do like seeing your actual logs. Solid setup.

I forgot this was Wayne's thread lol

I try to bench on my squat days. Mon/wed/fri.
I couldn't even do one push up in December so I shouldn't be complaining.

Nice logs Wayne. I was just about to ask you what your programming looks like.

That's right in line with what you were lifting at the gym, though, right?

That's pretty damn good, man. I'd be happy if I were you.

Weren't you aiming for 1300? If so, it seems you did pretty damn well.

What's next? More meets?

Actually the only goal was to go 9/9

It wasn't much but it was a 15ish lb increase in my total as I previously did 445/265/525 - 1235 15 weeks ago.

Out of sheer ignorance--why would you want to go back down to 190? Easing back on the powerlifting thing for awhile?

My guess is weight class. I'll also guess that Wayne didn't cut at all and went in at what ever weight he normally weighs at during his training. Just one less thing to stress about. A big thing to stress about actually.

The training was brutal man, I haven't had that much of a "dead period" to really focus on leveling things out chemically in my body. I was eating poverty with a refeed, training needs jumped up. But calories had to stay in check and no cardio to regulate anything or to create a deficit.

So I went from eating like 2100 calories to almost 3500 and still never felt like that was enough, 0 cardio. 4-5 hour lifting sessions. That was just the first block of training I posted earlier, the 2nd half got worse.

weight kept going from 215-210 then back up and without cardio there was no way I was getting to 93kg/205lbs in 7-8 weeks so I just went up to the next weightclass and used that to my advantage letting me eat my way into the meet.

But now I'm sitting at 225lbs and I'm not willing to do another strength block and let it get any higher than that. That was not the purpose of me giving up looking like a sexy boy to become a total fat ass again, so I am just going to coast and drop back down and also kick back on training.

I didn't realize how stressful training 5 days a week could be, then tapering down to 4 days and now I would like it to be 3 days.

While most don't think 5 days is a huge deal, 5 days a week at 3-5 hours a session is like a part time job. Nutrition was basically whatever was in front of me, or how I felt emotionally rather than being disciplined and motivated to be a chef too.

Just so many things out of my control, at times I'd finish a week of training, then free time was dedicated to sleep maybe a solid 4-6 hours of that a day, playing video games 2-3 hours a week, grocery shopping and then trying to cook for the week 5-8 hours for that as long as I don't have a family engagement, wedding, etc to attend.

so yeah I need a fucking break because this being fat shit isn't cool.

sounds like it's not as fun as it used to be, I think many [most?] of us struggle with motivation here. I know I do. Normally I try and picture what I wish I could become or do and that so far has been successful in motivating me to keep going.

Of course my sights are set super low and I'm only working out like ~7-8/hrs week with a bunch of that on the weekends.

I'm super ok with project mediocre mid-packer lol

The main thing I'm taking away from that is your gf's perfect ass

Sorry to hear it was such a struggle. I DGAF what you're into, if you're doing it for that many hours a week, it'll likely lose its lustre. Congrats on all of the efforts and actually making it to the meet. Nice work. Good luck in the next phase.
