You are going to see those rust spots every spring no matter what if you own a white car.

Use Iron-X to remove.

Is it rust? I've been told it's tree sap, rail dust, road tar, whatever. My sister in law has it all over her white crv so I'll have to polish that out too.....shit.

Anyone use a foam gun/cannon? There are two types, one for pressure washers and one for reg hoses.

Be careful with M105. Although it does make very quick work of removing scratches, on most paints it is removing way more clear coat than you need to be. Its basically liquid sandpaper and I see it being used way too much.

+1 have a couple of bars.

I would need a full day to do mine from top to bottom.
- wash
- iron x
- wash
- clay
- wash
- remove swirls
- wipe down w/eraser
- stage 1 polish
- stage 2 polish
- repeat stage 2 x2 or 3
- finally LSP

No idea how the hell you did a detail in 6 hours.

I spent 6 hours today just removing swirl marks...had to go through two orange pads, basically two phases of the same shit 3-4 minutes for every 2'x2'. Fuck i hate detailing cars, I might be over doing it compared to most but I don't want to do it for a few years.

nice results but how did you burn through 2 pads? I burned through a pad the first time using my PC. I emailed them and they said the main reason is too much pressure applied. The pads should last a long time.

Yep I've used my lake country orange pad at least 6x time.

you just have to take care of them, I've never replaced pads. just have to wash them out with a bit of dish soap and let them air dry. instead of putting more pressure I would turn up speed and use 1/2 of the pressure, or a more aggressive pad. what color pad were you using risky? even still new pads are always nice. or actually, are you using the little ones?

anyways, part two today. de-badged, polished the muffler tips, high heat painted the muffler cans as they were flaking and looked ugly, and just re-dressed the interior. oh and tossed in those baller bright white plate bulbs.

-Light smoke vinyl on the lower reflectors to better blend in with taillights

-Rear ghetto tint comes off and new 50% tint comes on Wednesday

The chrome around the windows helps a sedan have a coupe look on higher end cars. I thought about vinyl for it but I think it will look worse.

Gross. Thx for posting more chrome nastiness 4age. I completely disagree how any chrome looks good on anything that is suppose to be sporty looking.

Jaguar, Maserati, Aston Martin, Rolls etc all use it in their designs. I agree it looks out of place on some cars but it is a standard auto design characteristic

Just the grille surround. I used plastidip - if done right looks decent and is amazingly durable to be on a front end that gets hit with rocks, sand and bad weather.
