OK then, getting away from cast wheels, how about some forgestar F14's in super deep concave rear?

On a non-M E92.

And yes I'm CERTAIN a Type-R would have MUCH LOWER operating costs. But who cares.

They are decent, if the fronts were more concave it would work..it would be sick as a squared setup. As is, meh, stick to your american racing rims

These were 245's and 275's in the picture above which are not aggressive for an M but are the max you'd put in a non-M. I had 265's on my 330i at one point, depends on the offset and how flush you want to be.

Trying to make a good decision. I like the VMR's, but the forged are sweeter.

But ok, I'll stop posting now. \:\(

Hard to believe you are having such a hard time finding proper wheels, there are tons for sale. Are you looking locally only?

I'm not having a hard time finding wheels, I'm having a hard time finding something I am in love with for a good price (new cast, used forged) with a proper offset. The forgestar are in Utah. I also like these Morr's which are local and would need a 10mm spacer.

/lime green before it was cool

just pick something for yourself. All these wallies here are going to have differing opinions. You are on the right track in general*not looking at canadian tire* and really cant go wrong with what you have posted up.

Well you guys aren't picking out my wheels, but the insight has been valuable as I'm now looking at used forged wheels.

FWIW forgestar is not forged. it's roll formed. If forging is like synthetic oil, roll forming is akin to semi synthetic. It shares a word, but it's not even close.

Buying used wheels are hard for the M3 since the offsets are different from the regular 3's. I wouldn't use spacers though.

4age, thanks for the insight. Still seems a step above cast though, no? Also the car will see the track for sure, not all the time, but a few times a year.

Wes, just get the APEX Arc-8 wheels, in the proper size and offset for your car and call it a day. They are light, look good, relatively cheap and hit up all the right spots. Look good in gloss black too \:D

I'd run them on my own car, but to put the concave ones as a squared setup requires some minor body work and I hate sh!t like that...otherwise I'd be all over them.

A white e92 m3 is almost impossible to screw up take away american racing rims.

Don't go less than 19" and you will be golden, why you hate BBS doe?
