Right on man, how easy is this to do? Are you using the aftermarket firmware you were talking about in another thread (Magic lantern) or a laptop?

I gotta do a Milky Way time lapse this summer.

Some sunrise/sunset mountain time lapses would be awesome.

Using ML on a 5D2? I'm trying to find a good how-to on it, seems a bit unfriendly, but I'd like to have some of the focus aids, especially for video.

Super easy to install.

Update to the latest Canon firmware available, put ML files on your memory card, update firmware to ML. Once installed, hit the trash can button to access the ML menus. It really doesn't change much by default, worth a try.

Pretty cool stuff.

That is one thing I miss about my old Pentax K20d, it had the ability to do timelapse(interval) in the OEM firmware.

It's slightly unfriendly for some, I'd bet, but it's got some pretty cool "pro" level features that makes it pretty awesome. Zebras for exposure in video is huge, and the focus assist stuff is great.
