Second day this week I woke up earlier than my alarm because I was starving (woke up at 5am today...on a Saturday...alarm was set for 7:15 FML \:\( )

Why do I say apparently it's good? That's what the trainer at the gym said...he was talking to someone else about it a couple days ago saying he always asks his people if they wake up hungry and if no, then keep working harder...if yes, then that means your body is growing and your metabolism is speeding up?

What do you guys think...agree? Disagree?

I'm eating about 2,000 calories per day and have been for the last month or so.

I wouldn't say he's focusing on it, just something he says you'll notice if you work out hard/get bigger...your body is more hungry. /obvious

It's all in your head. Chug water and go back to bed.

This part I agree with, but you don't have to "wake up hungry".

I do find that once I hit about 20 miles a week(or 50 on the bike), my hunger ramps up and I'll still lose weight.

Even now I'm seeing I'm down 2lbs in 2 weeks and I'm not trying to. Plus I'm more tired, so I'll probably up my calories(and specifically protein).

Are you trying to build muscle or tone down? 2000 calories a day seems a bit on the low side.

Sounds like you are not eating enough...at least not enough of the right stuff.

I find having a spoon full of almond butter before bed helps keep my blood sugar up and wake up easier...

It depends on what Val's goals are though. Is he trying to lose weight? Tone up? Gain mass?

And diet. I find on the no grains/fats diets, when your body goes into ketosis, you're continuously hungry.

That's certainly individual-specific. Most people feel more satiety on a high protein and fat diet. Not everyone, though, which just speaks to why we shouldn't generalize a specific kind of diet to every person in the world.

Very true.

With my metabolism and activeness, 2000 calories a day is very low for me. I nearly double that.

calorie needs are highly individual dependent...

I'm just laughing at his "trainer", and his theory...
