I am debating if I should swap the winter tires on the car this weekend. Too early?

When are you putting yours on?

Its the early morning/late night temps that are iffy with summers.

If you are rocking summers in sub 5 degree temps, then your grip is already compromised. In that scenario, I'd rock winters now absolutely.

maybe a tad early but still can't hurt (unless like said above, you're on extreme summers, remove them), otherwise by dec. 1st would usually be the case. (prob won't have much snow until jan-feb as usual).

Did the X5 yesterday, and the mini the week before. Next weekend should be nice though, so you can do it then. I'll be putting up Christmas lights

WTF?
His diesel ferrari? It isn't winter driven. It gets parked and only sees 2000km per year--and only on the finest of days. It is serious stuff.

Yeah my extreme summer tires are almost bald and in the cold temperature (below 5c), it was horrible.

I guess I will change it this weekend.

oh btw if anyone wants to make quick work of tire change i bought a hose reel so the air gun reaches into the driveway.

Once it gets below 7 degrees on average, the snow tires go on.

Swapped over last weekend ... Also ended up getting 2 new Michelin X-Ice 3 (in the back) to go with my X-Ice 1's (in the front) ...

Seems I have a really fucked up alignment issue with one of my wheels - inside on one of the winters was almost worn down flat FML ...

It's probably the valve core, or maybe the whole stem. I had that problem two summers ago on the NSX.

Possibly, rim looks mint tho, and I looked hard for cracks (woman manages to hit every pot hole) and the rim is straight. It has to be the valve.

Doing mine this weekend. CT has a Mastercraft Impact gun of sale for $79 (reg $199). Having 2 cars a 2 sets of wheels, it might make things easier.

Impact gun is a good idea, but if you don't have a tank with enough throughput, it won't do shit. Also some guns require way more CFM then others. My Snap-On gun requires a big tank and 3/8th hose for it to break the hard shit loose, my Ingersoll Rand has no issues blasting shit off with my small 30gal upright.

Just ordered some Nordfrost5 on steelies for the Odyssey. Damned TPMS sensors are over $300 for the set, and I have to pay $30 each time I swap wheels to have the TPMS reprogrammed.

Anyone ever used the ATEQ programmer to do it yourself? I think I saw it on Amazon for $180 or something like that.

I agree. My wife on the other hand would rather no warning lights be on.
