Dang I should have jumped on this. Its back up to $199. \:\(

Buy a Ingersoll Rand 231C online for a wee bit over $100 in the US. 10 billion times better then any Crappy Tire brand and works really well on compressors that don't have super high CFM (Most of the 20-30gal units you'll find in peoples garages)

I've got a Snap-On IM6100 and while it's an awesome gun, it needs a big compressor. I barely pick it up now that I've got the IR.

He isn't talking about air tools.

I've got a 60 Gallon husky compressor in my garage...the mastercraft electric impact still gets used on the regular ;\)

Shit, I assumed he was talking about an air impact, lol. If I had a 60 gal, there's no way I'd be using a electric impact. Look up the gun I mentioned above, it's killer and cheap.

I do need a better gun for air, but you are saying that one is good for low cfm compressors. What about for us ballers with 60 gals ;)?

I do want a "big bertha" of some sort.

Well you could probably get better throughput with the smaller compressors using 1/2in hose for example, but the god damn compressor would be running all the time. For the price I'd still run that IR 231C on a big tank.. There are nicer guns around (better IR's, MAC, Snap-On) but you'll pay a pretty penny for them. And if you aren't using it much, no point in dropping $400 on a better impact you'll use a few times a year.

What kind of CFM are you getting @ 150psi? Problem with pancake compressors is the capacity.

150 psi max tank pressure stores more air in the tank for longer tool runtimes
2.6 SCFM 90 psi allows for quick compressor recovery time
6-gal. pancake style tank for stability, includes water drain valve and rubber feet

bah ha ha.

remember all these ratings of CFM are what the air pump puts out, not what the standby cfm from the tank is.

With that said your pancake compressor could run the same tools that run on 60 gallon compressors, the only difference is for how long.

You also don't need huge tanks to be able to have long tool run. Those gas powered wheel barrow compressors do like 11-12 cfm because they have such good pumps. You could run a tool all day long off that, the only drawback is the unit would be running non stop since it would be powered 100% from the pump and not the reserve.

Yeah it's a Fast set. They're Nankang tires. Not the greatest but they'll do.

Best $40 I ever spent. Works like a charm.

I actually picked this one up that Dumbass recommended for $40. I haven't tried it yet but will report back on how it goes.

I've been too busy to do the swap.
How's Falken 615Ks on snow? lol

But my winters really suck on dry pavement. They screech if my braking is a little more firm than usual.

^prepare for some mega pucker on those 615k's.

I drove on kumho 712s in the snow once...it was like driving on rims.
No grip to stop, no grip to turn, no grip to even move. The slightest incline/decline had a great effect on the car. It was very scary and I was very retarded XD

yeah lol, dont even think about using 615k in the snow...you'll be sorry, especially if they're worn. even a half assed all season would fair better.

Last year it snowed the day before I was gonna swap, ZR rated tires = Nope lol. 50km/h on the hwy was scary lol and a slight bend in the road at 20km/h = car going straight. That's why I Swapped a little early this year, not doing that again.

Worked great!

Unfortunately I couldn't get the wheels (not lug nuts) off one of the cars. No matter how much I banged with a hammer, they wouldn't free up. Any tips/ideas? I was thinking I could try kicking the bottom of the tire

Lol only in parking lots haha. Stability still kicks in a little too easily, so for donuts it won't work unless it's fully disengaged.
