Great ride in spandex, I can bend over more on downhills as my balls are in place and not getting squished. Great investment, for $23 you can't beat it.

The feeling of queer is strong though, damn.

Kept an average of 28km/h on my route and I did the 5km warm up where I didn't even push it. I averaged about 23-25km up "my hill" which was awesome and had a ton of energy to boot.

I don't think it's the warm up (maybe it had something to do with it) but I ride MUCH better in the evening than in the morning.

feeling of queer? who gives a fuck? you arent thinking that as you bust your ass.

warm ups and warm downs are key though most people have a preferable time for physical exertion. Im better in the afternoon/evening too.

if arent used to mornings it sucks.

*i like shorts over bibs*

I wear mountain biking shorts however, not bibs, when I mountain bike.

As for peeing and pooing, I'll admit shorts would be easier to pee.
To poo, it doesn't make a difference... unless you're wearing a 1/4 or 1/2 zip jersey. If so, then FML lol

Lol....I bought a pair of mtb shorts from mec with the padding/chamy liner. It fits a bit loose and looks just like regular shorts. I like the stuff by Troy Lee.

Why would you wear baggies to ride a mountain bike if you wear spandex for road?

I wear cycling shorts for mountain or road, baggies are absolutely awful

I don't know... I actually don't have an answer for that.
It's not even a preference thing because I've rode in bibs as well.

8 am was too early for me, i saw your call and quickly went back to bed ;\) , I needed to catch up on some sleep. I still did 25km earlier today and I will go out for another ride later tonight if time allows. The wind was CRAY where I was. I think I was going faster uphill than when I was going downhill. LOL

What was the route?
I'd rather go uphill than into the wind... wind is so friggin' demoralizing \:\(

Went out today with the older kid when I woke up. He averaged 20km/h over 22km. I was really impressed with him \:\)

I'm off next weekend, so I should be good to ride with you guys.
Shane, you better be there!

Shane was fast today, and travis just freaking powered up those hills like they weren't even there. The wind was bad, I rode in the drops for a long part of the way back

I went down hard today. Fast downhill into a left hand turn, super slippery trail from all the rain and nearly knobless race only tires and I low sided hard, there was no saving it. Had to limp the bike back to the trail head and cut the planned ride short. Beer is on the agenda for the remainder of the evening, and possibly a massage from yellowjacket???????

^^ My neighbour just traded in his paradigm S8 v3 on some B&Ws. I go outside to cut the grass, and he has the boxes on a dolly, bringing them up to the garage for the delivery guys to pick them up. He told me he's getting 3k from the shop. I would have picked them up and flipped my Studios ....

3k lol. Trading in audio gear is the worst, obviously the shop is going to lowball you so they can make money when they sell it. I guess for some it is easier to take the loss than deal with potential buyers on the used market.

That was an awesome ride. I can't believe we finished with something like 53km and two hours of riding. Thanks for putting up with the newbie, 4age. I know you and your buddies kept waiting. And thanks to Wayne, I didn't feel any wind for the early part of the ride.

I went home and napped for 30 minds after lunch before heading to shannonville. It was a total me day, kids and wife be damned! And now, back to reality.

Shane was a champ.
The ride could have been 30km, but he stayed with us and did nearly double the distance and at a much hotter pace. I don't think we ever saw below 33kmh on our return ride! \:D \:D With an alternating head and cross wind too! Wohoo!

Wayne was a star and conquered the 1 hill on our ride. And he has some sweet new Zipps O.O

Lookin forward to next Sunday!

^^ I pulled a Vas and trolled kijiji for some. Noticeable difference above 30 km/hr. I'm not keeping them on the bike, just going to hang onto them until I can really benefit from them (as in average 30 km/hr )

Wayne, come do the Centurion in September at Blue Sir!
Anyone interested in a ClubSi group for this?
I'm doing the 25 and the 50 mile races. (Saturday and Sunday.)

Did you get Firecrests?
