Ok, who is going to do this race...

Bike riding that is actually fun.
Teams of 2. I automatically get euphoric because I want to win.

Eff that. Last off road race I did on my fixed gear was paris to ancaster and that was the biggest bs i subjected myself to in the history of my life
You can't have Euphoric because wouldnt that put you in a pro group or something? That's crazy cheating.

Paris to Ancaster is always a shit show anyways, absolutely nothing like these races. There's guys who do the 8 hours solo on single speeds, if they can do that you can handle riding a SS on a team.
Jay, shitty. I won't be at the fall one, it's the weekend after I get back from whistler. You really need to do the 24, hopefully we can work something out next summer.

100% agree. Actually, I'm always tempted to get an ss mtb. Is so fun! But caveat - I did paris to ancaster on a TRACK BIKE! HAHAHA. No mud clearance = me clearing mud between my frame/brake/wheels every 20 mins bc it would actually lock the wheel. What a dumb idea I had XD

I agree, SS mountain bikes are a blast. I bought (used), a fully rigid khs 29er single speed years ago, I would use it for winter riding and just booting around on. The local MTB group down here has an 8 hour race every year, I decided to use my SS for it years ago while doing a tag team and ended up setting the fastest lap of the race on it. You have no gear choice so there is no room for error missing shifts around corners or when getting to a hill, it just forces you to always be on it. I unfortunately have a fucked up leg so a SS isn't the best choice for my knees, i'm a spinner when it comes to hills and not a masher (for the sake of my legs), otherwise i'd have a nice chromoly SS 29er.
And lol at doing P2A on a track bike. Did you make it up the famous climb? lol doubtful.

IIRC, only 3 dudes wear full spandex so far. The rest are mismash of stuff.
WE NEED CSI JERSIES! Which say something like "Aiming to break the 30kph speed barrier" in huge font out back. And for shorts, we need those thicker material AE shorts that Vas seems to like XD XD XD

Do you need to ask? Bibs you get photos like above! Duh!

....bibs just dont have a tightish elastic around your waist. Some people really seem to care about that. *shrug* Psh, this coming from the guy with no body fat. Well, to answer the question, us mortals with bellys enjoy bib shorts because we don't get the elastic pressure around our waists. I wear bib shirts exclusively.
OHHH i never thought about it that way! But even skinny guys seem to prefer bibs, and I have no idea why. If you do a long arse ride and you need to pee, it's more convenient to pee out of shorts than bibs....and definitely the same for pooing XD
FWIW I do happen to have more bibs than shorts, but that's because I found all the bibs on clearance! FTW
