Home depot is stupid expensive for just about anything, but at least you don't have to waste your time go from store to store looking for shit, they have everything...unfortunately at stupid prices.

You unpatriotic pansies never support your Canadian owned businesses Trust me, I'd be the first one in line to support them. Unfortunatly I get better service from an American chain than I do the Canadian one. I hate shopping at American stores if there is a Canadian alternative. I don't base it on price alone either. Every single time I go into Lowes, almost every single employee says hi or asks if they can help me. I don't think anyone at Rona ever has. Also when I have had to ask for help at Rona it's like I was getting in their way. Fuck that, you want my business then earn it. I'll gladly pay more to shop at a Canadian store if the service was good.
+1 never been to Lowes but HD the staff is always helpful and friendly, returns are a cinch.

The Rona at Warden and Eglinton is probably the only one worth going to because they are always liquidating old stock. I've gotten some solid deals there on some stuff and they are more willing to bargain.
Rona in woodbridge is a hit or a miss. I find the biggest issue there is service, but on the flipside the one time I was there I found an old contractor who worked for them after he got injured and dude spent an hour with me helping me get all the stuff I needed for a project.
Rona just doesn't seem to carry some staple items especially when it comes to specialty jobs like plumbing/electrical.

zero issues w/ rona @ winston/eglinton? I spent a fair bit of $$ on building materials since i moved into my house 3 years ago. I honestly thought customer service was excellent for me?

100% yes - it wouldn't be smart to run 2 separate formats and banners.

You unpatriotic pansies never support your Canadian owned businesses How about this: How come Canadian owned businesses just haven't learned to satisfy Canadian consumers? WTF? And BTW, we also do it to american businesses too: Cue Target's Canadian failure!
What do you mean we do it to American businesses as well?

Target. It's American owned and we pretty much snubbed Target the same way, and for much the same reason, as we snubbed Rona.

Ok that pretty much confirmed you're either retarded or really a troll.

We do something to Canadian businesses. Then American businesses as well? Whose businesses are those businesses that are not out of businesses in Canada?

If Rona had the customer service I get at Lowes I'd shop there.
