Staff at our onsite fitness center set up a 3 week decathlon which finished today. You were allowed a single event per day and if you completed all 10 you could redo one event per day. Do not think I made top 3 perhaps top 5, will know next week. Exercises in red I came in first place.
I am 5'7" and weigh 142lbs.
Events(My count/Highest):
Burpees - 34/48, 2 min AMRAP must step/jump onto 4" bumper plate
Pushups - 53/74, 2 min AMRAP hand release at bottom
750m row - 3:04/2:19 me @ the end =
Pullups - 26, dead hang, no kipping or butterfly
Jump ropes - 264/328, 2 min AMRAP
135lb bench press - 17/41
Overhead press - 140/180lbs, strict, no dipping with legs
Tabata situps - 104/120, total count
55lb dumbbell goblet squats - 48, dumbbell held in a front squat style
10lb pistol grip wall sit - 2:36/3:15, legs @ 90 and plate held straight out
Was not very happy with burpees but the plate made it a new movement dynamic which messed me up a bit. Bench and overhead I knew I was not going to do well due to my bodyweight BUT I was happy to lift my bodyweight overhead. As for the row, ugh I really need to work on it more just rowing for time is a high level of suckage. No idea how I got 1st on goblet squats.
All in all I was not too far behind on some events which makes me feel good. Going to focus on pushups, jump ropes, rowing and situps or areas where my lighter weight is potentially less detrimental.
TL:DR I lost a decathlon @ work.
