Went from 221.1lbs on April 9, 2013 to 199.9lbs today May 7, 2013.

I did it by giving up the gym entirely (went from Oct till April and gained 15 lbs - 2 of that muscle) and following an 1600-1800 calorie a day meal plan with a mild cheat day here and there. I did give up meat and diary for 7 days as a kick start and dropped 10 pounds the first week, but live is too short to not have some meat.

Now to lose another 20 to reach my actual goal of 179 - 6'0" and an endomorph \:\(

Yup 0 exercise and I was doing 50 mins on the treadmill 5 days a week at 15% incline and burning 750cals and continued to gain weight as I was eating too much from the hunger. I did that for almost 7 months and gained.

I have realized for my body, diet is all that matters when it comes to weight. Now if could just get Retro Fitness to cancel my membership - they are such a PITA about it.

You're correct too. My arms and legs are rock hard from push ups and the treadmill but my tits and gut are just mushy and gross. \:\(

It's amazing how a simple change in eating can do to people. 6' at 180 you'll look like a twig w/o any muscle. What are your goals then, just to hit 180?

I'd think getting under 200 is a great milestone and get's you in the healthy range.
My advice, keep eating healthy and work out.
Start by adding light workouts on your current diet(not the no meat one). Allow your body to adjust to the energy levels. It's ok to feel hungray occasionally.
Then after 3-4 weeks of adjusting your appetite start a strength program.
12 months later you can thank me.

I recommend Starting Strength(though i prefer 5,3,1 it's a less regimented program).

Muscle is more dense, so 180 and low muscle will be bulkier than muscles. Though not bulkier in a good way...
