I didn't think they could fetch this much money. \:o

Current price $12,600 and 5 days to go! The seller mentions he wants $17,500.

Ebay must be the place to sell cars.

Bidding went to $15,300 and his reserve wasn't met! That blows me away. Selling price on a 71 Grabber was $1995 I believe. But I guess old cars are getting rare these days.

A clean, well presented car will fetch a pretty dollar...even model years into the 90's.

Thank the internet in part for this...now it's FAR easier to find the right buyer. When I was in HS, you didn't have many options...searching was very compartmentalized. It wasn't that there weren't guys out there who wouldn't pay a good sum for a clean but mundane/not highly desireable car to the general classic car buying market...it's just that you might have the car they want in Jacksonville FL, while that buyer was in Seattle...and really the only way to get to that buyer was via hemmings, of which many of that type of buyer knew never to look simply because they knew none of the car they were looking for would be advertised there.

Now, you have forums dedicated to the some of the weirdest stuff out there...heck, even chevette's have their own forum! And of course, look at the Si's....

But there are markets for oddballs now...thanks to ze world wide web.

True dat. The web has changed how the whole world works. The high buck televised auctions are causing prices to creep up too, even for odd balls due to trickle down. And probably cash for clunkers too.
