It's blogger and their dumb ass software, it's fine on a cell phone, I'll try to switch to one of the layouts that isn't flash or HTML5 or whatever the fuck based.

Or you may have to click on the content to have it pop up, if you have a MAC that might be the issue.

 Quote:

It's more than that, but if it's pure body fat, which my next density scan will show you such. Then I'm completely fine with it, it's a marathon not a sprint. To clarify my eating guidelines are to LOSE FAT and MAINTAIN/GAIN lean mass. It is not a LOSING LBS/10minabs/etcetc protocol.

WHERE IN THE HOLY FUCK DARK ASSHOLE OF THE INTERNET DID YOU PULL SUCH AN ASININE STATEMENT?

I don't max every time I deadlift, so not too sure to be honest. Last time I did deads it was about 25-30 reps at 140kg/308lbs coupled with 100m runs. My max on things can change depending on the frequency of movements in my programming. My only gripe with crossfitting, I'm average at everything rather than good at one thing lol.

I know squating 308lbs the last time I tried sucked ass and definitely wasn't a triple, but a few weeks earlier was able to hit 330 for reps no problem so it's always an up and down thing. I've really been focusing on bench and pull ups, once I hit 200kg I was kind of happy with that so I haven't worked on improving it.

The major issue is one of my training partners has a medial miniscus tear in his knee, so he kind of programs our workouts to favor him. Notice how there is a lack of squatting and the deadlifts are fairly light.

Training 02/11/13 - 02/16/13:
========================
Monday:
A: Power Clean
Heavy Single

B: 3 Sets:
AMRAP Touch & Go Power Cleans (62)
Rest as Needed

C: 4 rounds for time:
30 Double Unders
25 KB Swings (32)

========================
Tuesday:
A: 10 Sets:
Every 2 Min:
100m Run
3 Handstand Push Ups

B: 5 Rounds for time of:
10 Burpees
5 Shoulder to Overhead (80)

========================
Wednesday:

6 Rounds for time of:
20 Air Squats
10 Pull Ups
7 Clean & Jerks (70)

========================
Thursday:
A: Back Squat:
Heavy Triple

B: 10 down to 1 of:
Power Snatches (50)
200m Row

C: 3 Sets:
3 Min AMRAP Cals on Airdyne
Rest 3 Min
Goal is 250+

========================
Friday:
A: 10 Sets:
MIn 1: 5 Toes to Bar
Min 2: 5 Clean & Jerk Touch N Go (50)

B: 10 Rounds for time of:
3 Deadlifts (130)
50m Farmers Carry
3 Burpees

I can't really complain because I am looking leaner and more vascular due to this programming, but I am not sure where the hell my strength is because I'm not doing any squat cycles or good mornings, etc like I was before.

Clean strength is going up as well as pressing strength.

you're not getting vascular / leaner from the training alone... you're obviously running a deficit which is cutting some fat...

what's your bench press at now...?

i hit 275x2 last week which was Herculean for me... lol

yeah i don't max out either... heaviest sets are always doubles at this point...

today's heavy set was a triple on the deadlift... i mentioned in your 440 vid that i got the 415x3, but it actually seemed to go up with "relative ease", like i could have done another one...

The lack of fiber in your diet is going to bite you at some point...

And to build muscle, getting a pump has little to nothing to do with it... It's progressive overload... Whether that's heavier weight, more reps, more time under tension etc... Getting a pump means dick bro...

wait, does this mean you found a computer that it works on, or did you use your cell phone?

I know about the fiber bit, I was taking triple fiber, but I want to start adding some greens into the diet that are fiberous usable carbs. Instead of wasted water calories. I don't want to try and move a few lbs of spinach through me daily on top of all the meat I eat.

long version - http://waynescn.blogspot.com/2013/02/day-66-relieved.html

I'll save you from waiting for the next entry. This is yesterdays results after spending half of the day in urgent care. Nasty Gastro attack prevented me from swallowing anything for almost 2 days.

http://waynescn.blogspot.com/2013/02/day-65-finally-rock-has-come-back.html

I made yesterday into a mini carb nite since I was able to swallow food and water again. loaded up close to 400g of carbs, kept it low protein and fat. Hit the gym this morning after putting back on 5-6lbs (woot)

Tried to establish 1 rep max backsquat. I didn't have my shoes or sleeves with me but I doubt they would've made any difference. I think I made too big of a jump from 140kg/308lb to 150kg/330lb. Should've went up in 2.5 or 5kg at this point. Since I was in the urgent care the day before dehydrated lol!

Then did 6 rounds of
1 deadlift
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 air squats

I did the deadlift at 172kg/378.4lbs (I put 2kg on the ends as a joke)

it got pretty heavy around the 4th round and started eating my hands up so you could imagine how that felt on the pull ups. I got video of both and me failing the 150kg... My head and legs just weren't in it and I immediately ditched it off of the rack going down.

careful(squats) with those side to side wobbles on the way up(generally from tight hip flexors) thats a good way to hurt something.

nice gym

Incorrect, it may not look like it but that is the absolute bottom of my squat. It's not a flexibility issue, it's just I have my knee's pretty forward if I were able to sit on my heels a tad more you'd have that ass to ankles look others get but I would also fall on said ass.

As far as the wobble, the hip flexors probably suffer from me sitting for a majority of the day. I would love to try working at a standing desk or get one of those chairs that forces me to have my hips open.

I do appreciate the advice, but it's definitely not one of my area's where there is tension. I do have slight scoliosis which can be seen in my progress photos, I definitely notice that when trying to do 1 legged presses and my left leg is able to produce more power than my right leg although the right has more skeletal muscle mass.

Im not picking his form apart. I noticed the side to side wobble and that can be(and usually is) an indication of bad news and tight hip flexors.
sitting all day definitely doesnt help and most of us do that. which is why i said most people have poor flexibility.

stretch those hip flexors out . It will help get rid of that wobble.

poor flexibility doesnt mean you cant squat down. You are exaggerating what Im talking about. Typically a wobble comes from an imbalance in hip flexors (usually too tight)

Hahahaha why you gotta flip me off?

You just need to ditch the high school football iron cross and youd be able to do more weight. You cant keep your chest up because you collapse it by crossing your arms... get some of those straps that you can hold onto if flexabilty is an issue.

Euphoric. I normally go through a 30min warm up and stretch routine before lifting... bands are involved as well especially on my legs and ankles

http://www.mobilitywod.com/2012/12/build...lationship.html

That grip is relative to most of all the movements I do, I damn well can't do a clean and jerk catching it doing the russian dance move! lol

It's hard for a lot of people to get their hands into that position, just like the hip flexor thing I do plenty of lat stretches with bands and rolling my tricep out on the bar while it's racked.

doing mobility movements to front squat is a waste of my time bro... it's not that important to me, and i don't do Oly lifts so it's kind of not high on my list...

the only clean and jerk i do is in the shower...

It comes off again during the week, I've been working on making smarter choices but I really love those doughnuts... plus I actually just finished my last day at my job and will work very far from said doughnut shop now. So it's going to be really hard for me to drive 20 minutes on the freeway to spend 9 bucks lol.

And those numbers are just for reference, I don't know the ingredients down to the dough. I just find things that match what I ate on MFP to give an idea of what I chucked down.

As long as all of the nutritional info is there no matter how bad I'll use that one. I hate when it says cals 295 and everything else fucking says N/A

I've read a lot of fitness blogs in my day and this one involves the most junk/shit food I've ever seen.

I know you said you make the heathy choices during the week, and you've posted some, but I'd be interested to see more of that, maybe even the food breakdown in the single day diary section. Just a thought, but it is your blog.

I read a few entries, he is complicating diet beyond the point of absurdity. Why not eat a balanced, high protein, lowish calorie diet if you want to drop fat? Or a balanced slight excess if you want to bulk? So much wizardry and voodoo with supplements and meal timing, yet the results speak for themselves. He is poisoning his body with crap food and saturated fats while randomly binging. You shouldn't want to fall asleep immediately after eating.

I am complicating something you know jack shit of. Yes! seems legit, did you pay someone 9k to read the book for you?

 Quote:

Learn how protein works, how insulin is triggered, and where fatloss comes into that picture while BUILDING muscle mass and dropping fat mass. Diesel shut the fuck up and let him answer that. I'll wait. I love when people with 0 and I mean fucking 0 lean mass built on top of what they genetically came with and almost no body fat due to genetics want to tell other people about "why is it so hard."

Go throw on 30lbs of muscle and let me know how you stay in the single digit body fat numbers.

 Quote:

You're really simple minded, I'm going to explain this without flaming you.

This diet is designed... to lose BODY FAT, MAINTAIN/BUILD MUSCLE MASS.

So to clarify that very simple sentence... This is not a lose 30lbs in 2 months diet, or gain 20lbs of muscle with some fat afterwards diet.

 Quote:

december

february

Totally not working... What do you suggest, Richard Simmons?

Again this is where Cory loses his shit... I don't have a set food schedule. It's fairly simple.

I wake up and take yohimbine, go back to sleep wake up again take another yohimbine. Do some hit cardio to raise my heart rate, nothing major.

Bulletproof coffee, no carbs no protein before noon. By then my body should be awake and cortisol levels should be normal to start taking in food and not have it make me feel super sleepy, tired, you know like everyone who eats a big ass bowl of oatmeal or frosted sugar bombs while sucking down energy drinks and coffee all day to stay awake. Those same people sucking down pre workouts because they need that rage to be let out for dem gains???? I don't take any of that shit.

I'll eat if there is a huge window before I have to train, preferably a few hours before I train since I like to lift on an empty stomach (that is more a medical problem with my digestive system, I have trouble breathing if I eat then try to train.)

30 minutes after lifting session. 50g of whey isolate, 10g creatine, 2tbsp of micro chain triglycerides. (if you're not sure what those are google them).
That's 50g protein, 36g fat, 3 grams of carbs 2 grams dietary fiber = 1g of NET CARBS.

Morning or evening it doesn't matter when I take my multivitamin, fish oil, flax, and time released vitamin C and D, krill oil. blah blah!

I am trying to get fiber in throughout the day with my meals now however, so working in more greens into the routine.

I try to eat dinner before 10pm so that gives me enough time to digest or move the food out of my stomach when I wake up at 5-6am the next day to load the yohimbine.

 Quote:

Well you've never done the diet, I don't fall asleep after eating, I have GERD, so it's fucking impossible. I'll just throw up in my sleep if I did that, you seem to take everything tit for tat instead of knowing what you're talking about. Which is funny. But hey all of your progress pictures you've posted, you're clearly doing something right.

 Originally Posted By: DieZel

While that sounds great, it wasn't long before you were searching for something to follow. And I appreciate all of your feedback and input, I know you want to see me succeed and I will. Granted our nutrition plans are worlds different, our genetics are as well. If I even tried eating like you for a week I'd put on 10lbs of fat in the blink of an eye... You can't out train a shitty diet and regardless if it's crossfit 2 times a day, or lifting until my muscles bleed awesome. There is no fucking WAY IN HELL your macro's would work with my genetics.

I practically was DOING your macro's and that's what got me back up to 198 from 180 in the first place to put mass back on.

When I did strict paleo for 60 days at a caloric deficit and super training I lost 32lbs in 2 months. Dropped 8 percent body fat, and lost 20lbs of lean mass and 12lbs of body fat.

I felt like shit, my lifts went to shit. I pretty much had to train just to get back to my old maxes. This diet allows me the ability to drop body fat, continue to hit big lifts, and it works for me as far as something I can follow.

Regardless if you don't like it. It's working for me, and that's what should matter to you the most.

I am paying 0 fucking attention to moneybags lohan and his bullshit, that's like OB1 trying to give me fucking advice.

Anyway fucksticks I gotta get ready for work... And korean bbq on sunday motherfuckers!!! Then I'm back on my shit...

That was my general thought as well, but I like seeing progress and he's making it, so I won't hate.

Personally, I'd be discouraged a motherfucker if I were in that situation. 70ish days, maximum dedication in the gym and to the "diet", yet IMO no drastic change aesthetically. But like he said, we're all different and it is a gradual process. If I'm dialed in and going balls out w/ diet/gym...I want results I can see.

His lifts are going well and not being affected negatively, which is important to him. Now for me, I just diet/workout to look and feel good. Unless I'm a complete weakling in the gym, I give zero fucks about my numbers. I'm over those days.
