575mi 50h for Jan! Lotta mtb in there
Did 4hr on the SS today in prep for the 6hr next weekend I am going to hurt this time next week - hurt bad
How do you guys make the time to fit all this training in? Not married? Work from home? A century a weekend?
I got in a measly 27 miles yesterday (50 out) and I was happy about it. Snowing now, so that's it for outside for at least another week.

If I rode as much as I wanted, I'd be divorced.

Wow--I wish I had some insight. The only time I cramp is after at least 60 miles in very warm weather if I don't keep up with hydration/electrolytes.
I'm baffled. Maybe lingering overexertion? My legs are still fried from yesterday's 1.5 hour trainer flog and you did that for 7 days. Might need a much longer recovery but I'mno expert. I hope it passes.
Any doctor/physical therapist friends to bounce it off?

any chance you over did it with the 9 days in a row? Was that the tour of sufferfest? Have you done that many intense rides in a row before? did you stretch properly before and after?

Ya was the sufferfest tour. I've definitely done that sort of intensity for that period of time but it's usually in the summer. If I overdid it I don't think I would have made it all 9 days without issue. It's a week and a half since i've finished, delayed onset muscle soreness should be long gone and I should be fresh and ready to keep going. Very little stretching, i've never been much of a stretcher and never had problems, even in the summer when I race and spend much more time in the saddle.
diet changed any recently?
nope. I've always been a pretty healthy eater and always drink a ton of water

perchance just the fact it happened this time of year? I don't know about you, but usually lot of people are coming out of a rest period and just doing base work.

Finally, after 2 weeks I was able to complete a 1 hour ride without cramping.
http://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/747527-Carson
Not really a crazy workout, just some sweet spot intervals.
Surprisingly doesn't feel like i've lost too much power considering i've only done about 3 hours of riding the last 2 weeks.
Anyways hopefully this cramping bullshit is behind me and I can get back to some decent rides.
