I was more strict on my diet and at it longer in in the first pic....like usual I fell off as fall rolled in.

No set goal, just like to stay lean and add some muscle. I'd like to be a solid 185-190. I really want to get some mass on my chest, but its a bitch. I've been struggling in that area for years.

In the near future, I'd just like to be able to press with a straight bar with zero wrist pain. I've been starting to do it more and more with wrist wraps, but it's still frustrating.

pretty damn good.

Ive started my leangains run...first time in my life im giving this much fucks about what I eat. (sorry fatties but I can eat pretty much what I want and not be a balloon....though obviously as I age thats slowly shifting)

Hopefully I can keep at it and see some results.

That as you age your metabolism naturally decreases...? I don't think anyone here dismisses that... But your metabolism at 25, 30, 35 is not dramatically different vs 50,60,70...

Some people use it as an excuse for being fat in their 30's... There are underlying issues that could contribute to a decrease in metabolic rate but people typically use it as an excuse for overrating etc..

The "slowing metabolism" thing.

I've read enough articles about it slowing after 40 to be thoroughly freaked out. Combine it with what I'm experiencing firsthand and I'm more thoroughly freaked out. I think mine is drastically different at 40 than it was at 25.

My activity level(re cardio) has also dropped way off so thats a contributing factor for me personally as well...Im not saying mine has dropped or that I can "feel" it but I feel the older I get the easier it is for me to build muscle ..and I generally attribute that to 1. not growing anymore(like from a kid to adult) and 2. my metoblism slowing down a bit(which may not even be the case at all)...
but I still get away with a less than stellar diet. Its not THAT horrible and I generally eat well just out of habit but historically I never gave it much thought other than not buying too much garbage at the grocery store. Shit ive had take out wings for like 2 months straight one day a week. Didnt do a thing to my weight/look. because most of the time I have things in check I guess.

I'm an a similar example. I'll be 38 in a few months and my diet is far from perfect. I eat what I like, when I like, and don't eat the stuff I don't like (veggies). I do however work my butt off when I train, and I keep the volume of food in check as best I can.

Just hit a new lowest weight ever this morning too: 152. I look in the mirror and do the Buffalo Bill routine. "I'd fuck me."

and man am discovering how damn hard it is to keep fat intake low. Its in everything(derp) and obviously normally I dont have issues but for leangains to hit the macros im finding it to be a bit challenging.
the ratios for so many foods makes them not work out all that great.

that said I was needing a big meal a little bit ago... was going through my stuff..was thinking chicken bla bla(already had some earlier) then I found my kraft dinnner(mac and cheees for you yanks) hot damn if this isnt one of the most perfect blends of carbs/protein fats ever. lol
the powder has a lot of whey in it bringing up the protein count...pasta insert whatever else you put in it. I put two tablespoons of half and half and a tablespoon of ketchup and voila . finished off my macros for the day...still a tad high on the fat (10g over) but im not sweating that.


I always touch on kd once in a blue moon and even make my own ...looks liek Im going to be making it more often lol lazy. I enjoy veggies and eat them daily

Still a lot of work to go, but I'm getting more and more comfortable with my body. I need to define my abs more so they show ALL of the time \:\) and I really need to work on getting a bigger chest. Biceps and triceps are comin along ok, lats and rest of back are ok. Needs moar chest.
