I couldn't get out of bed (could barely walk) for those few months and even though I was eating, the stress and depression was causing me to lose weight rapidly. Im just glad to finally be up to a normal weight again. Lots of work to do though!

Just getting back to a computer today, so I'll catch up a little bit:

5'11", 170. Not sure on 1RM. It's nothing crazy, though. Mostly, I just focus on super-strict form. I think that helps me the most. Like, when most people do cable-rows, they'll cheat and help out with their legs. I just try to focus on keeping my legs perfectly straight, so that the only thing moving is my arms so that I can really isolate my back. Just stuff like that.

At the end of my cut, I was repping 315. That was in the middle of a 5x5 cycle, though, so I have no idea what the actual maxes would be. I've repped higher before, but that was with a different body composition, so it wouldn't really be a fair comparison, IMO. So, I truly have no idea. Just somewhere between intermediate and advanced on the Exrx Strength Standards (http://exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards.html).

I definitely need to get back on the cottage cheese train. I used to eat it every night for a snack. As for the cheddar cheese, I didn't realize it had so much protein. I'm trying to get in at least 200g or more per day. Looks like I found a new friend. Thanks for posting that

Just a note: I only got that much protein as a by product. I wasn't really aiming for it. However, there is a suggestion that the actual caloric value of protein is about 3.2 cals per gram instead of 4 due to the energy required to break it down in the body (that figure most likely doesn't apply to protein shakes). So, it could be that I was actually eating less than what it calculated I was.

Mostly I was eating that much protein because it has the highest satiety to amount of food ratio I could find.

Thanks Adam. I could have done a lot more on my lifts but in the competition (1000lb club, max bench, dead lift and squat=1000lb or more) it was important to get your baseline lifts in then try and move up. I didn't really prepare enough for the competition. I never looked at any of my maxes prior and only based my lifts on what I could do at the end of my work outs.
