I think I'm getting screwed, so I need some advice.
2004 Acura TL. I purchased 4 new Dulop SP Sport Signature tires from Goodyear on 6/20/2009. Since then I have put on 21,000 miles. This past weekend I took the car in to Goodyear for an oil change and they pointed out the front tires were down to 2/32 tread on the inside due to mis-alignment. The outside of the tire was at 7/32.
My last oil change, tire rotation, and tire inspection was done at Goodyear on 9/26/2010 about 7,000 miles ago. At that time they told me nothing about uneven wear or noticing anything wrong with the car.
So basically in 6 months / 7,000 miles my car went out of alignment and ate up 5/32" of tread.....Is that even possible? They are W rated tires which they say attributed to the fast wear, but it seems to me like they were probably starting to wear unevenly back in 9/2010 and they just neglected to tell me.
My receipt says the tires have a 60,000 mile warranty. Goodyear said it doesn't apply since it wasn't the tire's fault.
Any suggestions here? I have no experience with this sort of thing, but I don't feel I should have to replace 2 tires in 21,000 miles.
