Hello everyone, I'm new here and looking for some advice.

I have been looking at the new si for alittle while now, test drove a few new ones.

I found an used 2006 black one. I was able to talk the seller down to 14.
Car has 22000 miles, HPF 18 wheels, HFP lowered suspension, fog lamps and the ground effects all the way around. With 7 year 100,000 miles warranty.

Ok so I need some help, what does everyone think about this deal? Is it good, is there anything to really consider about buying a older 06 than buying a new 2010? I wasn't really able to find any differences between the years. How's everyone like the civic si?

Sounds like a decent price. 06 Si's suffered from prematurely worn syncros. Definitely test drive the car and check to see if 3rd gear sticks. GL.

definitely check the third gear issue. Ask if he has had the ecu reflashed to fix the rev hang issue. Also check the inside wear of the back tires. I had to get new camber arms to the tune of 500 bucks to get it squared away.

My beloved 2007 Si coupe had an elusive oil leak and the dreaded 3rd gear problem. The dealers denied both for a long time. Eventually, after a lot of persistence, they found the leak and and the car stopped losing oil. But even after the transmission TSB came out, they still refused to fix it. After a lot of dealer visits, letters and phone calls, I gave up and traded the Si for a 2008 GTI. I LOVE it. I would not go back, though I loved the Si, too.
