Woot, just got back from the track, first lauch ever on these tires... first time ever on a track. 16.3 at 85.3mph, 60ft was 2.433, my reaction was .558.
I did a nice burnout for shits and giggles, and to show up some 12 second hatch next to me Dropped the clutch at 4700, and the tires almost immediately caught. The car slowed down to a crawl, then churled back up to the 'powerband' (hehe, as if i have one ) and i slammed it into second with a virrrrrrrr (the engine slows down, the wheels dont speed up)!! It was awsome, i know i can get into the 15's with this.
A stock SI with coilovers and a bunch of dead weight in the trunk.

I ran a 15.465 twice (once at 88.36 mph and once at 89.25 mph) with nothing but a K&N drop in filter in my '99 Z24. The clutch was slipping pretty bad in 3rd gear though. I ran a 13.974 at 99.33 MPH last week with a Nitrous Works kit at the 75 HP level and my new Spec Stage II clutch. It was the first time I sprayed at the track, so that number should drop a little more with some tuning and practice. No slicks, ever. I need a stronger diff before I run with stickies.

My first run was a 15.8 with a 93 HB SI with a B16A2 with a lot of mods(stage2 comp cams, ported and polished head and intake manifold, titanium springs and retainers, edelbrock throttle body, free flowing 2 1/2 pipes without cat., header, short air intake, msd ignition, and last but not least, holley fule pressure regulator.) My car just isn't hooking up right.

Actually my first run ever I pulled a 16.4 w/ a 2.8 60ft ahaha. My legs and arms were trembling and I bogged at the line. My RPM went down to about 2000. I was trying to hold it steady at 4500, but somehow I ended up trapping a little over 88.
lol... i did that first time i ran at track. i ran a couple times and did alright but the last run i guess i was just nervous and was sitting at the light waiting for the tree to drop. My clutch leg started shaking and it felt like it was six million degrees inside the car because I had the windows rolled up and just turned the heater off to pull the heat of the motor. It drops at the third yellow and I drop it and do this dumbass burnoff and of course the tolls of a stock clutch take in effect and it starts slipping I let off and it coast down the track and get like a 24.. something..
i n
update on times
Well i got rid of that leg shaking thing and finally improved a little bit. closest tracks around are 1/8 mile though but heres a few of my better times.
1/8 mile elevation (2000')
reaction 0.771 60' 2.308 mph 74.50 660' 9.559
reaction 0.576 60' 2.311 mph 74.38 660' 9.575
greddy kit untuned at 5psi ( blue box), act clutch, shitty street tires, stock suspension

11.75 @116 14psi on pump gas. 1.73 60ft with a 7300rpm launch. in my hatch. it was a 7.56@95.5 1/8th. car was running rich up top, so it bogged down some.

Slicks might be harsh on your differential spider gears. Try some cams, that'll do the trick.
