Its smaller then what you're probably used to. Although we're not exactly rednecks either. If you like cars, every Sunday night (during the summer) there is a huge cruise down our longest stretch of road downtown (Portage Avenue).
Weather here is fucking cold during the winter (-40 to -50 with windchiil) and pretty hot during the summer (+30, more with humidex).
Areas to avoid: North End, Main Street, Higgins,
Nice places: Eastern part of the city, as well as the Southern part of the city (I've lived on both sides). You'll notice cost of living here is much cheaper than Ontario as well.
Thats about all I can say.. any questions just PM me.

Yep, law schoool. Which MBA program were you looking at?
cant remember, but it was the price and the fact that it was mostly "crown" and i mean "crown" corps that drafted the grads

Hi there, I have lived in Tbay my entire life and graduated from LU two years ago. Yes it is a nice little town, and LU is a great school.
I am also attending Law School at U of M in this fall, and have been scoping out a few apartments via the internet on Pembina Hwy, and few others about 1 km from the University. Is this area generally ok?
Thanks

St. James is shithole as well... your best bet in the city would be Tuxedo/Whiteridge/Linden Woods/Island Lakes, but pricey.
