It's an SR20DET (complete with tiny front mount  ) . Not so keen on the auto box, but you don't get much choice with the better speced wagons
Very cool. I know people running Avenir engines, it's a common swap, like the swapped Bluebird in my NX, but I'm not familiar with the actual car.

They would be wrong. The Rabbit was styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro and therefore cannot possibly be ugly. And I'd kill any man who said different.
Both cars are definitely from the "I've still got my ruler, but lost my french curve" school of design.

Hey thanks man. That pic was taken with me sleeping at the tree, so thats why you see the tires just start to wrinkle a hair when the photog snapped it. Don't remember specifically what I ran that pass, but did a 3 11.8s that day, best was about a month later at 11.78@119.xx, 1.56 60'. All motor, AFR 205 heads, small cam (.558"/221), headers, etc; 430rwhp. 12 bolt 4.10 rear, self-shifter (and a mediocre one at that). No nitrous back then, just about wrapping up the install of a wet plate kit this winter, thats in the 2nd pic. Planning on spraying a 100 hit come spring and see how it goes, may jet to 150 at the end of the next season.

Nah, I just was not sure if you were allowed to drive with metal spikes on the tires. In russia, people are allowed to run spiked tires, and the roads pay the price. Where I'm from, which is actually a pretty big city (1.5mil population), roads have car sized potholes.

It's not only legal, it's pretty common up north. I had an extra pair of studded tires/wheels for the Sentra when I lived up in VT. Scratched the shit out of my parent's driveway one time when there was a thin coating of ice on it.
the laws vary by state and province. its ILLEGAL to run studded tires in Ontario and Quebec, but i know you CAN in Alberta or Oregon for example.
Studded tires dont do you much good really...only better in icy conditions really.

Studded tires are illegal in michigan as far as I know, that's what I've always understood anyhow.
