Those mods should land better times than high 13s.

Hey Cliff, any new track dyno numbers on the updated VQ 350Z (2007-306 SAE)?
No track numbers yet man, but on a dynapack they seem to put down 285-289whp all day long, whcih is around what a stock E46 M3 would put down.
IF that's the case they are vastly underrated. It puzzles me that noone has reported an ET yet. I know they've only been out for a month, but not even a magazine has a time for an 07 Z yet.
If those numbers are correct I think low to mid 13s will be the norm in stock form, and of course you'll probably have a few freak stock cars in the high 12s. That would be pretty damn impressive.
We'll just have to wait and see.

Not many good times out there with modded cars. Lots of clueless owners, out there. I assume I picked up about 15HP with my intake, it's quite noticable. The ECU makes things difficult, the AF ratios are off the charts (below 10:1!!!!). Great car, regardless. When a tuning solution comes out, expect the car to be in the 12s with intake and exhaust mods. CPE is expecting a solution within the next few months.
yeah I didn't think 12s would be too hard on stock turbo.
So can the stock ecu be reflashed? I'm assuming the electronics are very similar to the ms3 and I'm already seeing some good numbers for that car. What's holding things up for the ms6?
I agree it's a great car. It drove great, nicely balanced suspension. The only thing that irked me was that clutch takeup. I just couldn't feel the release point off the line. Is it something you get used to?

Very cool. I know people running Avenir engines, it's a common swap, like the swapped Bluebird in my NX, but I'm not familiar with the actual car.

Hey thanks man. That pic was taken with me sleeping at the tree, so thats why you see the tires just start to wrinkle a hair when the photog snapped it. Don't remember specifically what I ran that pass, but did a 3 11.8s that day, best was about a month later at 11.78@119.xx, 1.56 60'. All motor, AFR 205 heads, small cam (.558"/221), headers, etc; 430rwhp. 12 bolt 4.10 rear, self-shifter (and a mediocre one at that). No nitrous back then, just about wrapping up the install of a wet plate kit this winter, thats in the 2nd pic. Planning on spraying a 100 hit come spring and see how it goes, may jet to 150 at the end of the next season.

Nah, I just was not sure if you were allowed to drive with metal spikes on the tires. In russia, people are allowed to run spiked tires, and the roads pay the price. Where I'm from, which is actually a pretty big city (1.5mil population), roads have car sized potholes.

It's not only legal, it's pretty common up north. I had an extra pair of studded tires/wheels for the Sentra when I lived up in VT. Scratched the shit out of my parent's driveway one time when there was a thin coating of ice on it.
the laws vary by state and province. its ILLEGAL to run studded tires in Ontario and Quebec, but i know you CAN in Alberta or Oregon for example.
Studded tires dont do you much good really...only better in icy conditions really.

I like it when someone tastefully mods a car that wears an uncommon but stock color. I'm so used to see white, black or yellow 240s with the usual suspension, exhaust, darker wheels, etc.
The dark green is very refreshing. Nice car
EDIT: I just read it's getting a paintjob? Are you keeping this color?

Nice try making up info. Of course the hood scoop is functional. It goes straight into an intercooler and plenty of people have made good numbers with it. The wing, although not my cup of tea is also functional. So nice try pretending they do nothing "in any way".
And FMIC's are not that common of a mod. Maybe for the 350+ WH guys, but otherwise, no.

I needed some real slicks(Not the 20" tall slicks) and he let me use them.

That's with the Impala wheels....I didn't really like the way they looked and new tires were pretty expensive, so it's on the stock steel wheels w/o hubcaps now. Looks pretty badass in a cop car way. I don't have any new pics tho. 166K and still going strong minus a broken drivers seat and power antenna that finally quit.
The other ride:
Got it in Sept 05, and it's only got 13K on it. It's going to be for sale soon, I never really fell in love with it and I'd rather pay for something I actually like. GF's Corolla XRS is behind it. She just got the car that week, and mine was only about 2 months old in this pic.
EDIT: Bonus!! The dark red Mazda 626 on the street behind my driveway was mine too. I forgot that owned the Neon and 626 at the same time. Bought that car for $150, put about 5K on it and sold it for $200
