Available only for: Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Burlington, and Markham.

Really only useful for older/reno'd homes... But interesting nonetheless...

My house is a mid 1960s build and it doesn't retain heat that well. I've replaced the roof, windows, attic insulation and two doors (front is still original). Walls are plaster so probably nothing to very little between that and the exterior brick.

The best is to have someone come and install a blower on your front door and do a leak test to find where all the drafts are coming from. Theres only so much you can do with in wall insulation without going full blown reno and having the walls spray foamed or filled with loose foam, but thats a lot of work and $$. Stop the drafts first and do the least intrusive ones like attic insulation, windows etc

Looks like I'm gonna have to stick my head into the attic .... and maybe risk falling thru the ceiling to see if there's sufficient insulation in the attic.

One side of the home is much colder than the other ...

could be a couple things

1. improperly balanced vents allowing airflow to go into one part more than others
2. if an area is above the garage, sometimes theirs inadequate insulation between the garage and rooms above
3. Inconsistent attic insulation (sometimes it looks good by the attic hatch but they failed to evenly distribute it
4. Drafty windows
