Quick dumb story from yesterday.

Driving home in my Chevy Bolt (FWD subcompact EV) and a newer Civic Si sedan was in the group of cars I was traveling with. Only this car had no meaningful muffler and was LOUD AS SHIT.

After a few minutes I was tired of listening to this thing and decided to accelerate (about half throttle) to get away from it.

Only issue is the driver of said Si took this as a challenge and floored it, now his car is even louder and more annoying even from behind so I likewise put the pedal down.

Even though my Bolt is one of the slowest EVs around it's still an EV, so he was not able to keep up as I from 40-60 and actually lost ground (funny how being loud doesn't translate into actual performance). At ~60 with a red light up ahead I decided to slow down but just to troll him (still 2-3 car lengths behind me) I threw on the hazards .

At the light I looked over at him with a smirk but he wasn't making eye contact for some reason.
