We all live in our own bubbles and things are generally pretty nice, I have to say in the last year it's hard to stay positive with so much trash happening in the city. Most of us are likely immune because we don't see it daily, but here are some examples:
1. Land at Terminal 3 (ghetto) full out brawl in arrivals (seemed to be racially inspired, racial slurs thrown around, I am with two young kids after trying to explain it).
2. People pissing in the subway, openly downtown, like what the fuck.
General lawlessness and not giving a fuck. I feel like when we immigrated here it was a sigh of relief to escape the exact same trash that's now happening here, so many trashy people. At this point I don't think it's just me, but things have definitely changed for worse in some respects.
Then the deeper issues of healthcare for example, hospitals clogged up with people that have no business there, doctors shutting down practices, how is this happening in one of the most desirable countries in the world?
/rant
I remain optimistic it will improve and I blame most of this on just really inept government policy, everything from irresponsible immigration targets to taxing people to death to develop government bloat, yet we have nothing to show for it. This place needs a reset.

I dunno how you guys do it. Commuting down there for 15+ years was bad enough. I can't imagine living in that.

Lovin' it out here in NB lol Traffic was shit this morning because of construction on my way to work. It took 12 minutes instead of 7.
Where abouts in NB do you live? The wife worked a few travel nursing contracts out there the past 2 years and we have both really grown to like it. Weather when we were there was decent. Mostly rain and wet snow last winter. She worked in Saint John but lived in Quispamsis, which we loved.

Dammmmn....that is a lot of snow.
As for Toronto, I go into Union 3x per week for work. I walk up York and there is a resident street person there at York and Wellington. There is days of garbage there and multiple pieces of turd just on the road (its separated as walk way)
Union Station either smells like weed or piss.
People drive like idiots......random U turns or left turn on the fast lane next to the turn lane like no fucks given.
Health care wise, thankfully we haven't had to experience much.
Canada isn't what it used to be. I don't see my kids buying their own place without A LOT of help.
For me, it is just keep working, raising my kids and see how things are. Hope the next Government is going to tighten things up a bit but I feel the damage is done. Generational debt, over population of unskilled labour taxing housing and health care. We are screwed for a while...overall I am thankful for Canada as I came to Canada with not much more than the clothes on my back and Canada gave me an opportunity to better my life.

Yeah, the weather here really isn't much different.. we get the same cold/snow as ontario, just a few days later.. every once and a while something like the storm above will blow in.. it's happened twice in 5 years lol
I'm in Riverview (across the river from Moncton).. I've got a bunch of buildings in STJ, know it well. Quispam is beautiful too, NB's version of a commuter town.
