Seems I was hiding under a rock and masked up for Covid …
But there was a Canadian luxury tax since 2021 on all vehicles about $100k
You pay taxes on base price plus any add ons or work done on new vehicles.

Yet I see some fb posts with “NO LUXURY TAX” or cars with 300km, sometimes less than 1000km on them.
What gives? Money laundering?
