Whenever I take longer bike rides. I have a good seat. Just wear regular shorts. It hurts. Any ideas to keep my taint healthy? |

How long rides are we talking here? What kind of bike? Regular shorts like khakis/cotton? If you're feeling super modest try a pair of something like these to start out: http://www.nashbar.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10053_10052_577307_-1___204935 If you're feeling less modest, any road cycling shorts will do wonders. |

If you don't want to look like a road-bike nerd you can get chamois underwear to wear under your normal shorts. |

Any ride over an hour leads to chaffing. It's a hybrid bike. Just wearing longer gym shorts. I know it's not ideal, but I also don't want to wear biking shorts. Don't want to be that guy and look funny. |

I had the same issue monday [chapped ass], I do a lot of rides w/o proper riding shorts [just normal shorts] and monday after ~100 miles or so in 3-4 days my ass was pretty sore. normally you just toughen up and deal w/it or wear biking shorts w/pad |

Best lube out there: |
1) Synthetic wicking underwear 2) Synthetic thin shorts 3) Comfy seat 4) thigh/crack lube - I just use diaper cream with zinc but I'm not a pro like Mr. Mom |

Step 1: your seat shouldn't touch your taint, so clearly you don't have a good seat Step 2: since you're not on your sit-bones, get a chamois shorts. Mtn bike ones don't look like bike shorts. Or wear gym shorts over bike shorts. Or get a liner style. I've been known to to any of the above while commuting. step 3: increase gradually Step 4: cream |
