While it's great that this kid will obviously go to school for free, I wonder what that level of training is going to do to him in terms of stunting growth or other issues. |

I don't think it's much different than a kid that age in any sport at a mid-high level. Hopefully his parents are extremely active in guiding and nurturing his interest in the sport. |

...a lot of miniscule male gymnasts result from massive exertion as kids. See also those female gymnasts who don't go through puberty until they're 20. I think it's a legit concern. |
