Random food post but since we all love the noms, figured I'd post up. Quaker's Steel Cut Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Oatmeal is fucking fantastic, FYI. Directions say 2/3 cup water, mix and cook for 3 minutes @ 50% power. Now I hate water in my oatmeal, so I messed around with cook times using milk. Seems 3 minutes @ 50 % power, stir, then another 2 minutes @ 50% works perfectly (using 2/3 cup milk). Your results may vary based on your microwave, but this is a good starting point if nothing else. So if your an oatmeal lover and want something new/different, check this stuff out! http://www.quakeroats.com/products/hot-cereals/steel-cut-oats-quick-cook-brownsugar-cinnamon.aspx Nutrition Info* Serving Size 1 packet (48 g) Servings per Container See Table Amount Per Serving Calories 180 Calories from Fat 25 %Daily Value* Total Fat 2.5g 4% Saturated Fat 0.5g 3% Trans Fat 0g Polyunsaturated Fat 1g Monounsaturated Fat 1g Cholesterol 0mg 0% Sodium 260mg 11% Potassium 170mg 5% Total Carbohydrate 36g 12% Dietary Fiber 3g 14% Soluble Fiber 1g Sugars 11g Protein 4g Vitamin A 0% • Vitamin C 0% Calcium 2% • Iron 8% * Percent(%) Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet.
