From another thread in here..

Does N.O. xplode really hinder weight loss? or was dirtydante pulling that out of his ass?

Does he mean that by putting on muscle you are hindering weight loss? AFAIK that crap has a ton of stimulants which should help cut fat (not that I'm endorsing the product).

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

It does have creatine in it which retains some water...

which is why it is hard to lose weight. Especially since you have to drink a ton of water when you are on creatine

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

ah ok. But in the end, it's only water weight, so no worries.

I took it as not being able to lose body fat because of the NOXplode...

Cool, thanks for clearing that up.

edit: I'm drinking my 3 scoops noxplode as I type this

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

Oh, no, it won't hinder fat loss. Adding muscle helps you burn fat... But the water weight won't make the fat loss that noticeable right away...

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

I have been reading some stuff that says creatine itself doesn't make you retain water. Additionally the load period with creatine is unnecessary.

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

When you increase the amount of creatine in your body over the natural amount you retain more water than if you didn't. Its pretty well documented.

You are also able to build more muscle which is more prevalent once you stop your cycle.

If your lifting to build muscle/strength then weight should not be a concern

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

So would creatine be good for a runner?

So, cycle or no?

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

No-Xplode has barely any creatine in it - it wont affect you. If you use CellMass which is BSN's version of creatine (since BSN makes No_xplode) then you may see some water retention.

They do say Creatine Ethyl Esters (CEE) dont retain water like the monohydrates did.

You should cycle NoXplode because you body will adjust to the "pump" or "high" you get and will not be as effective. Longest you should be on it before taking approx a 2 week break is 12 weeks if I remember correctly.

Re: Does N.O. xplode hinder weight loss?

I got used to NoXplode after a couple of weeks and had to step up the servings. All it did after a while was give me the shakes.

I'm going to use Controlled Labs White Flood tomorrow. Hopefully it will give me some energy to get in the gym (no gym for home).

Sorry, was refering to creatine. Should that be cycled?

I have taken NoXplode in the past but I crash from the caffeine after my workout. I don't like how it makes me feel.

I would take breaks on creatine after awhile IMO.
