99 Civic Si - Replaced o2 sensor, still getting same code
Hey guys,
After getting code 61 (Primary oxygen sensor) a couple times I had the sensor replaced and I'm still getting the same code. CEL stayed off for a week then came back on. Should I try resetting the ECU? What else could be causing this? Or are there too many possibilities to list.
Re: 99 Civic Si - Replaced o2 sensor, still getting same cod
definitely not the fuse, the garage I bring my car to can't figure it out either and recommended I go to the dealer so I may have to go there. I suspect it may be wiring.
Re: 99 Civic Si - Replaced o2 sensor, still getting same code
The garage showed me that it keeps throwing the "Front Oxygen Sensor Slow Response" code. They also tested it while driving and said the O2 Sensor was working perfectly so it's most likely not that. Just to make sure though they are going to try ONE more O2 Sensor.
Could I get a "Slow Response" code because of Spark Plugs?
Re: 99 Civic Si - Replaced o2 sensor, still getting same code
I am having the same problem in my 00 Si. I was getting the slow to respond code so i went ahead and replaced both o2 sensors. The light went off for a week and now its back on, I tried resetting my ecu and it came back on a day later. I am pretty lost with this.

last summer with 160k on the clock, i got the PO code for bank1/bank 2 so i went ahead and ordered ngk o2 sensors and a cat from the web and got all 3 installed..no more CEL
