2016 Meet: North to Alaska.

wtf... i NEED to get to Alaska.
I'm guessing that Salty isn't the only one who would enjoy a trip north.
Would anyone be interested in coming to an Alaska meet in 2016? I'm thinking something like have people fly in to Fairbanks, taking the train to Denali National Park, camping at Wonder Lake or somewhere else on the park road for a night or three, then rail or car to Valdez or the Kenai. Or do a winter trip, come up in late February or early March for the northern lights, sled dog races, snowmobile races, etc. But I'm open to suggestions.

Holy hell this would be beyond epic. In for details. Not sure I can swing it and the other trips we have planned but Ill keep tabs and see what can happen!

For as much as i'd love to hit up AK, especially to see the northern lights and 24 hour sunlight/24 hour darkness (give/take a couple hours), I don't know if I'd ever make a "meet".

Don't think of it as a "meet" then. I'm seeing this more as a photo trip to Alaska for people from this site. This sub forum has been a big inspiration to me and I'd like to give something back by organizing a bucket list type week or even weekend.

Flights for early-mid June '16 from Cincinnati are around $600-650 via Delta.

Hmm... I'd be down.. The challenging part for me is we have to bid our time off at work.. That usually happens in November for the following year.. It doesn't leave a whole lot of time for planning something a year in advance or whatnot. I plan on taking a week sometime in the summer and either going back to Iceland or up to Alaska.
I think the hardest thing for a meet would be getting interested parties to all have time off at the same time. If I head up to Alaska, I'll def hit you up.

My summer months are pretty wide open so I think I could make it. Just depends on the deets.
