with alot of the online magazines and print magazines not on top of the Ultra4 racing scene as of late (it's gaining a bit more steam now), alot of the magazines and sites already have freelance photographers on hand. this morning at 5am, i decided to take the road less traveled and created my own online publication with my photos from recent races and club rides/events that I covered. this is a small inaugural issue. if the response is positive, I might take it to a paid subscription please tell me what you think http://joom.ag/WGTb UPDATE i finally released my official first issue. the content in the previous issue was only enough to consider it a feeler and a teaser. As of today, I had 80 views of the teaser issue and with publishing my first real issue this morning, I had 35 views of that issue in less than 6hours on a positive note, one of the main companies that makes axles for racing, Spidertrax, allowed me to create my own ad for their product line using their photos for the magazine. they approved of the ad this morning. heavy metal concepts, the main company that supplies the best images and dvds for the Ultra4 organization allowed me to create and run an ad for them in the magazine as well. i'm releasing the magazines every other month (Oct/Nov) until i can get enough material and content to justify a monthly magazine. my newest challenge will be to gain funding thru ads to justify the $40/mon charge for mobile device access until i start working again http://joom.ag/yhgb |

thanks guys. will un-publish the magazine and make those changes things have been moving good with the photography work but the downtime between shoots is something that I need to work on. I'm trying to maximize the amount of work I have until i get into another regular gig |

There is nothing wrong with the oxford comma |

huh, never knew that had a name. it was just what i was taught in school |

I swear it exists solely for grammar nerds to fight over. With or without are both correct, just be consistent with it; though those who choose to go without the Oxford Comma have to be more careful with their lists to keep this from happening: Note, the only thing making it necessary there is the list order. "JFK, Stalin and the strippers" works just fine. |

cool man, some good work in there still a number of spelling errors. try reading the articles backwards. you'll stop consuming it as a sentence and start seeing individual words. proof reading has got to be one of my biggest pet peeves. nobody does it! $40/mo for mobile access is what you pay so that mobile devices can read it right? |
||||||||
|
|
|||||||
yeah chef. they want $40 a month for me to enable that feature i pulled all of the articles out of the magazine and plugged them into MS Word and it found a few things that I changed but that was it |

hehe, can't rely on the robot for everything. "had alot of fans" should be "had a lot of fans" I'd change has changed to had changed because it's past tense. Some of the stuff like "Saturday morning. Wet from it raining the night before and continually through the morning," I'd change. Some stuff is personal preference, like the sentence structure in the beginning of the Willys article (nice job on the no apostrophe ;D) "For having on the competition" is just missing the w. "The factor front seats". Some of the personal stuff would be like "AtoZ Fabrication demonstrated that having a long day was a true statement that day" I had to read that a few times to get what you were getting at. It's all stuff that'll get better as you write more though, this is great progress man. |

I vote as I always have and always will, in favor of the Oxford comma. |

Nice job Ty, I think with a bit more refinement and better font choices you could have yourself a nice looking deal. Nate |

Thanks Nate just received a job offer yesterday. If all things go well, this will be the funding to open up a way to pay the $40/month for mobile viewing and increased fonts Doing things on your own gets expensive after awhile. I think that this will probably kick me into the $75/month bracket for web hosting etc for all my ventures |

Damn...it's amazing what these hosts charge for the whole "free website builder/no coding necessary" approach. I host 4 domains on my plan and have unlimited everything. I paid $286 for 3 years ($8/mo) |
