I just picked up a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB Aluminum Tripod with SBH-100 Ball Head, it's fucking awesome!

I wanna get a carbon fiber one... but the problem is trying to justify why the heck i need another giant tripod when i barely use the ones i have.

I got the tripod delivered.
Carbon fiber, but still weight a solid 5 lbs
It's a beautiful tripod, easy to setup, crazy flexibility.
The head is silky smooth. Awesome purchuase

I went to a 'dark sky zone' just north of Gravenhurst and it fucking sucked. Great for telescopes, shitty for cameras. I've been eyeing up some spots off Twelve Mile Bay road (South of Parry Sound).. Right now you've gotta look SSW, so much light pollution pretty much anywhere.
I use this to find decent zones for the Milky Way.
