Up the shutter to 30s you'll get a lot more detail.

Not really random when you take a 20second exposure... and still have more you can share... 
I'd also take out the street light, it's the brightest thing in the photo and adds nothing to it.

Definitely a dock light, this hasn't been processed at all, just the jpg from the camera. I was messing with the settings, 30 seconds gives ya star trails with this lens, upping the ISO is where it is at, 6400 gave some of the best results.
I'll have to have my dad upload some more, but here is a second one, little higher with no dock light in it.

I used a quick setting and missed that it was set to jpeg only  everything else I did that trip was in RAW/jpeg. Kicking myself for that one
