Orders in.

Just kidding \:\(

Shot a vintage triumph built to run the Baja 1000 this weekend on Saturday with the d800. That buffer fills up and don't wanna empty out. Time for the ultra mega cards...

Re: ISO 409600

I know it isn't always about the megapickles, but i'm a little confused why they left it at 16mp, especially considering the D800 has 34 or 36 (can't remember) and captures some amazing details.

Is it strictly speed/burst?

Re: ISO 409600

It's so the sensor can shoot faster and at higher ISO, sports camera. The D800 is more of a studio/still life camera.

Side note: I heard a while ago that Nikon patented the idea of a body with interchangeable sensors... THAT is something I would love to see. You could have one pro body and swap the sensor for different uses, how fucking sweet would that be...!

a lot. that's how fucking sweet. it'd be like those pills you dissolve on your tongue that make fresh lemon taste sweet. Real fucking sweet.

Ricoh has had the lenses with sensors that you swap on the body, but just fully modular body/sensor/lens elements would be awesome. Processing reacts to the D4 sensor and adjusts fps, swap to the D800, adjusts to a lower rate... Same button layout and handling...yeah that'd be awesome.

Re: ISO 409600

there's already assholes in my Facebook groups comparing mirrorless systems to this, whining about it not having 4k video, it's just an incremental upgrade... fuck off.

Re: ISO 409600

Sensor controls a lot more than just ISO. Resolution, frame rate, color depth...
