Re: Block Island

After googling Block Island - I'm Jealous. Looks like a great place.

The hose picture is good. It took me a second to figure out how it was defying the laws of physics.

Re: Block Island

Yeah, it was pretty nice. We stayed at a house that was built probably in the early or mid-1800's. There was no air conditioning and it was a small and cramped. The weather was beautiful, in the mid-70's with a nice breeze all week. Only the first day there it was in the mid-80's. The water was really nice, waves were epic the first and last days there, which makes me want to take up surfing next time I'm there, lots of people surfing. Lots to see on the island. Expensive place though, that's the only problem. I hope next time I get to go deep sea fishing. took my son surf fishing with me one day, nobody caught anything, but he had a blast, very into fishing and wanting to eat the fish he would have caught. Last day I was there, I ran into Steven Wright, the comedian. He lives on the island. Christoper Walken also owns a house there. My wife use to work on the island in one of the restaurants and use to see them around all the time. she said that Steven Wright would call to order a pepperoni and mushroom pizza at least once a week and she could always tell it was him by his nonchalant and monotonous voice. Kinda funny..... anyway...

as far as the photos, I could have done a lot better with them had I had more time to compose them. We were pressed on time when I took a lot of the shots around bluffs and light house. We were trying to get to the bar at the Spring House to get our happy hour on. I really like the water bender picture with the kids. They were really into squirting each other with the hose.
