Sick EG Time attack car rocking the k20

Is there really that many benefits to a wing on this EG? The car is sick otherwise, but I don't know, from a looks standpoint, doesn't work for me.

Pretty sure it has a purpose. Car doesn't look to be a street car at all, so kinda pointless for them to do things just for looks.
