Got a new set of Firestone Winterforce 2 for the SUV, previous set was worn down and wouldn't last another winter with any sort of traction. Went to CEO Tire who had the best prices for what I saw but the place was packed due to the snow today. Everyone bum rushed the place and I was there several hours even though I had an appointment. He hooked me up with extra rebates so no real complaints. I have Hankook i Pike w419 on the coupe with about 20k on them with decent amount of tread left but may have to change them up. I'm already slipping on them with wet roads and have to pull from a stop very gingerly or will spin in the wet. Reviews are pretty decent for them but they are not fairing well for me. |

re: Tires23 Markham ... Always had a good experience with them, until this last time ... So, be wary. - They're moved to new location, minutes away from old, and can now install (not just sell.) - I needed a new tire, 1 ... They, not only ordered the wrong one, but took off the old tire, then put it back on - I had to drive back, and get the new tire mounted. My fault for not looking at the tire AGAIN, but yeah, it's a mismatch. I couldn't be bothered, so said fuck it. |

I believe I have blizzaks from Tires23 Mississauga |

Contis for life. Winter-contact Si. Edit: Finally broke down and bought a cordless impact gun (Milwaukee 18v) this year. Changing tires is insanely quick now. It took me longer to wash the summer wheels than it did to do the changeover. |

still debating if i need them, i have like 500km (yes 500) all seasons... |

i bought a new set of winters last year from the RFD Simply Tire thread/deal. Great deal if I remember correctly. I legit forget which ones I got but went with a brand name this time as I've had bad luck with uber cheap tires lately. I have michelin's x-ice I think. Were new last winter but I think I put like 20-25k on them cuz I was commuting to St. Catharines daily last winter. Should balance out this winter tho cuz only commuting to the subway station now. They still look like they have good tread so should be able to get at least this winter+next out of them. Heated steering wheel ftw.....legit, I love it. The pinnacle of first world problems but I don't care lol. |

Heated steering is the worst feature my car has. All I want to do is rage when I have to touch any other part of the car that isn't heated. WHY ISN'T THE SHIFTER HEATED? WHY ISN'T THE HVAC CONTROL HEATED? WHY AREN'T THE STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS HEATED? |
I thought about that when I got into my car after driving the parents X5. WHY ARE MY THIGH EXTENSIONS NOT HEATED! THIS IS BULLSHIT! |
Blizzaks on both, heated steeering/seats on both, autostart on both. I'll never get another car in the future that doesnt have these options. |

the S4 on 19" winters is just epic, not even a contest plowing thru anything. got 20" michelin x-ice on the wifey's pilot, freaking amazing. |

Dude schedules a bunch of jobs in the same area and knocks them off in a day... 12-15 cars usually, including multiple cars at some houses. $45 is so cheap, but if done that way I can see how the low price works in his favor. |

Yup, all you really need is a sledge and a piece of wood if you get some trouble wheels. I've never had a sledge not work after a few wacks. A decent gun that works on a low CFM compressor (My cheap IG comes to mind) and some impact sockets. You could clean up on a Saturday. |

RDX on Contientials….2nd seasons, no issues. IS250....Altimax, feels like they were better on the Civic. They are 4 years old, will probably get a higher price tire next. |

Tried my Ryobi 18V cordless impact gun ... Nope ... |
